Chanel Fracas nail polish for spring 2013 review

Chanel Fracas is a new, bright pink nail polish hue from Chanel for spring 2013. This vibrant shade of pink is in line with the continuing bright color trend for spring 2013 and makes a great alternative for Fashionistas who find pastel pink to be a little too sweet for their taste.

Pastels, bright colors and neon hues are hot for spring 2013. When it comes to nails, the color trends are in line with apparel. Bright shades of pink are hot for spring 2013 so it is only natural that a bright shade of pink would work for the upcoming warm weather season. Chanel’s Fracas is the perfect nail polish color for the bright color trend in spring 2013. The bright pink hue feels like a candy color and has a very slight orange undertone.

We tested Chanel Fracas with one base coat and two coats of color. The polish stayed on nicely and did not chip for seven days. We even washed dishes without gloves to test the durability of Chanel Fracas nail polish; and of course the nail polish survived! Love that!

Chanel Fracas nail polish for spring 2013 can be found at Chanel boutiques and counters nationwide. Happy shopping, and stay fabulous

Chanel Accessoire nail polish for spring 2013 review

Chanel’s spring 2013 nail polish colors, Accessoire, Fracas and Emprise have arrived; and they are right on trend with the upcoming warm weather seasons’ nail trends. Autumn shades of burgundy and navy as well as spring colors including baby pink, white, beige and nude are hot for spring. In fact, classic red and funky shades of blue and green are also hot for spring! So many nail trends!

Chanel Accessoire nail polish from the Chanel’s spring 2013 collection is a deep, classic shade of burgundy with a little bit of brown. The hue is actually easy to wear right now since it is still winter and many of the ensembles we are putting together include fall’s color palette. Accessoire by Chanel works perfectly as a transitional color from winter into spring. Love that!

The burgundy or oxblood hue feels more like a fall nail color rather than a spring hue, but for those who are not ready to leap into spring just yet, Chanel Accessoire is the perfect nail polish to slowly transition from winter 2013 into spring 2013.

We tested Chanel Accessoire with one base coat and two coats of color; no top coat. The polish lasted six days without chipping. We also washed dishes without gloves and still, no chipping! Love that!

Laura Mercier En Pointe nail polish review

Pastels are huge for spring 2013 and one of the easy ways to wear this color trend is through nail polish! Laura Mercier’s new, spring 2013 collection, “Arabesque” has a fabulous, extra soft baby pink nail polish named “En Pointe.” This sweet hue is perfect for spring 2013 since it is subtle and understated; ideal for a nail polish shade which will not compete with spring’s vibrant prints, florals and color palette.

There are so many color palettes in apparel for the spring 2013 season. In addition to the pastel color palette, which happens to be the most important color group this spring season, bright colors and even neon hues are at the forefront of fashion for spring 2013. In order to wear pastels one day, and then bright colors the next, it is important to have an understated nail color which will blend easily with all of the season’s colors and prints.

Soft, baby pink is a cheerful alternative to a nude nail and the subtle hue is easy to wear with almost any skin tone. Of course, Laura Mercier’s nail polish is also high quality. The polish does not streak and lasts a full week with one base coat and two coats of color. We did not apply a top coat for our test.

Laura Mercier’s “En Pointe” nail polish for spring 2013 is available now and can be found at Laura Mercier counters, at LauraMercier.com and at Sephora.com. Happy shopping, and stay fabulous
