Mark & Estel is one of my favorite collections from the runways in New York. The designers are rock musicians which translates into a collection filled with carefree, edgy looks that are easy to wear and downright sassy! This swing top from Mark & Estel is a piece which put the designing duo on the fashion map. It comes in a variety of colors and has a playful, swinging silhouette!

I wore this top on the airplane last February when I returned home from New York Fashion Week. It was comfortable and didn’t wrinkle; huge plus when traveling! I have found myself reaching for this top often since it can be styled for both warm and cool weather. Love that! I definitely need to invest in Mark & Estel’s swing top in additional colors.

This handbag needs a shout-out too. My fabulous friend gave this mini-camera case by Rebecca Minkoff to me for my birthday. Not only is it currently on trend (mini bags are all the rage!) it is also purple with tassels! Two of my favorite things! My beautiful friend has fabulous taste 😉 Now what will I get her for her birthday which is equally amazing??? The bar has been raised.

Do you have a go-to piece in your closet you find yourself reaching for on a regular basis? If so, what is it?

Summertime black, white and pink

In the summer months, I love wearing dresses as an alternative to pants or shorts. They can be just as comfortable and cool as shorts; yet appear so much more “put together.” I love this little striped dress by Monki for summer. It can be worn casually without a belt and paired with flat sandals, or dressed up as in the photos above. For less than $40, that is downright amazing!

This summer I have been gravitating towards black and white pairings with pops of pink or blue. This tote bag has been my go-to “pop of pink” since January when I first purchased it! I had originally planned to bring it to New York with me last February for fashion week, but it was too big to fit inside my suitcase, yet not big enough to use as a travel tote. Since I refuse to check my bags for fear of the airline losing one, I always try to pack things which fit easily in my carry-on. It would have been perfect during fashion week because it is roomy and would have fit my camera, a scarf, gloves, iPad and more!

This Rebecca Minkoff tote bag has been an amazing handbag this season. It can fit extra clothing, a book, my laptop and more. I can’t wait to see which colors it comes in this fall. I may need to to invest in a fall hued one. . .

Do you have a favorite piece you cannot live without this summer? Any great deals on clothing you are excited about for the summer season?

I absolutely adore pastels in the spring season. There is something about pastels which tells the world the cold weather is over and sunny days are here. One of my favorite all-time pastel hues is mint green. I love pairing mint green with white since white is such a crisp and clean color. I feel like it is the perfect neutral hue to brighten up mint green and make it pop.

This could be why I love the Ippolita Wonderland set I am wearing with this outfit. The mint green and white quartz set in sterling silver offers a crisp feel in warm weather. Love that! To tie everything together, I love this watch from my new favorite online boutique TrendCY. The white strap helps make the mint green glow and the loose fit will be perfect for the warm weather in spring, and the hot temperatures of the summer months. I also love the watch in white since it will match everything I wear in spring and summer!

Do you have a favorite pastel hue this season? What is your favorite neutral hue to set it off?
