It’s so nice to finally see sunshine! Not only has the sun come out, but temperatures are pushing their way towards 70! Yippee!!! I am SO ready for warmer weather!

When I saw the sun shining the other day, I decided it was time to wear a skirt and tee! (please forgive my pasty white legs-I will work on that!) It felt amazing to wear my go-to espadrilles, a skirt, and a tee shirt. Well, until an icy wind spoiled all the fun! But I digress. . .

This was a great outfit to wear the other day, until the wind came around and made everything so very cold! I love a denim skirt in place of jeans for a casual day. Also, tee’s are my go-to tops in warmer weather, so it was nice to be able to find this one with these cute little ruffle sleeves. The ruffles really elevate it from a regular tee, to a really cool tee! 😉 I might have to pick up another one in a different color!

Lastly, I have to give a shout-out to this flower pot bag. I wore this outfit while strolling along Santana Row with my kids the other day and this bag was so easy to carry. It also had plenty of room for all the little things my daughter made me carry! haha It’s a super fun bag, and I find it amusing that it looks like a flower pot. Stay tuned, I will do a review on this bag very soon!

Floral kimono for spring 2018

Spring is trying SO HARD to squeak through this year! To say it has been a cold spring, is an understatement! Thankfully, there was one little day where spring reminded us that it was on it’s way here! On that slightly warm day, I got really excited and pulled out my new floral kimono! Yay!

I met up with my friend Laura from Have Need Want for lunch last Friday when the weather felt like spring. It was so much fun seeing her adorable toddler boy, and trying out EMC Seafood & Raw Bar at Santana Row. This was the first time I had the chance to eat at EMC, and I am so glad we went there! The food was really yummy, and the service was great! We had a crab and salmon sushi roll topped with truffle; oh my-it was to-die-for! I highly recommend trying it!

The flowers around Santana Row were in full bloom, and the temperatures hovered in the high 60’s. It was the perfect day to wear jeans and a tee; topped with a floral kimono! If you are looking for a way to amp up an everyday jeans and tee look, this floral kimono is perfect! It is lightweight, yet offers enough coverage to cut out the chill from the fog, or from a cool, spring breeze. Love that!

This floral kimono for spring will also work well over a solid color, casual dress as the weather gets warmer. It will also make a great cover-up for a swimsuit this summer! I’m looking forward to all the different ways to wear a floral kimono this spring and summer!

Can’t get enough of my . . .black striped jeans

OK, first off, the reason I am walking in every photo in this post is because I have found it is the best way to see the side stripe on the side of these jeans; so please don’t laugh at me too hard 😉

If you’ve been following along for awhile, you know I repeat favorite items from my closet over, and over, and over again! Right now, I have noticed that a ton of my outfits on the blog in 2018 feature these striped jeans! It is not really a surprise because even if I don’t photograph my outfit, this is the first pair of jeans I reach for in the morning.

There is something to be said about a pair of jeans that offers both comfort and style. These jeans are soooooo soft, they are great on days when I am tired and just want to throw something on; yet they are ideal for dressy denim looks due to the silhouette, the side stripe details, and the raw edge. I just love them!

These jeans have proven to be easy to wear with flat shoes, boots, sandals, and heels. They really go with any shoe! I love wearing them with flat mules, boots, and my block heel slides! One of these days I plan to wear them with block heeled pumps for night out on the town.
