Guerlain Rouge lipstick is a lightweight, cream lipstick which includes it’s own compact mirror. I love how this lipstick comes with it’s own mirror. It is quite handy when you have a small handbag or clutch, and need to save space. Love it!

Normally I shy away from cream lipsticks, but sometimes an occasion, or an outfit, calls for more lip color then a sheer lipstick can provide. When looking for cream lipsticks, I always look for ones which do not run, smudge, cake, or add weight. My lips do not need to weight-lift during the day thank you very much.

This cream lipstick by Guerlain is just perfect. It does not add weight, never smudges, doesn’t run, and stays put on my lips. Love! Plus, did I mention the cute little compact mirror? 😉

I chose Georgia 62 as a nice contrast for spring in my lipstick collection. Most of my lipsticks are either beige, golden, or vampy; which is in line with spring 2017’s lipstick trend. Sometimes I just want a classic color, and to eschew trends for certain moods or activities. This classic, pinkish coral hue is perfect for just that.

The Guerlain Rouge collection of lipsticks is fabulous when I need a cream lipstick. This is my first Guerlain lipstick and I love it. I am looking forward to adding more to my collection in the future.

L’Oreal spring 2017 lipstick collection review

l"oreal spring 2017 lipstick collection

Pictured: New lipstick colors for spring 2017, and a whole new collection; L’Oreal Paris Infallible Paints Lipcolor.

Aren’t the colors amazing! The paints will be fun as the weather gets warmer; and also for nights out on the town!

L’Oreal Paris spring 2017 lipstick collection:

l'oreal lipstick spring 2017 review

There are three fabulous types of lipsticks from L’Oreal Paris to wear this spring 2017 season. The new Infallible Paints Lipcolor, Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss, and two fabulous shades of L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche lipstick.

The new L’Oreal Paris Infallible Paints Lipcolor collection includes 14 new lip colors! They fill in the lip with bold color; which is a huge street trend right now. The intense color is bold, and for me, more of a nighttime lip color. They are statement-making colors which are a-ma-zing!

Like all lipsticks from L’Oreal Paris, the Infallible Paints don’t dry out your lips, and the color stays put. Love that!

Of course, L’Oreal Paris is also showing their fabulous Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss for spring 2017 in Statement Nude (316), and in Shanghai Scarlet (308).  These colors are perfect for spring; Statement Nude is in line with the beige lip trend, and Shanghai Scarlet is a classic, spring/summer red. Love!

If you are looking more for a classic lipstick, L’Oreal Paris has you covered. The two perfect hues for spring 2017 from the L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche lipstick collection are Blushing Berry (590), and Raisin Rapture (892).  Blushing Berry is a classic, medium berry hue which is perfect to wear on a daily basis. Raisin Rapture is a bold, dark berry which fits in perfectly with the current vampy lip trend for spring 2017. Love!

My absolute favorite color from L’Oreal’s spring 2017 lipstick collection is the Color Riche lipstick in Blushing Berry, color number 590. Berry hues are hot in lipstick for the spring 2017 season, and this is an easy, everyday berry lipstick. It matches everything! Love!

As you know, I tend to shy away from cream lipstick, but L’Oreal’s Colour Riche lipstick collection doesn’t smear, run, clump, or dry out lips. It is one of the few cream lipsticks on the market I recommend. It is my go-to cream lipstick this season!

Which color from the L’Oreal Spring 2017 lipstick collection is your favorite?

Laura Mercier Stickgloss Rouge a Levres gloss review

If you have been following along, you may already know I am a sucker for sheer lipsticks. I am not a huge fan of thick, cream lipsticks, or sticky lipglosses. When I noticed Laura Mercier Stickgloss Rouge a Levres, I was intrigued! The packaging labeled it as a “gloss,” yet it appeared to be a lipstick. Hmmmm. . . this looked like a fun investigation!

Since spring lipstick is either golden, beige, or vampy, I decided to try out Black Orchid in Laura Mercier’s Stickgloss Rouge a Levres. Why not go vampy when trying out a gloss? Black Orchid is vampy indeed! It is a dark purple color which is edgy yet seasonally appropriate. Love that!

I was not quite sure what to expect in a stickgloss. Would it be sticky like a lipgloss, or would it be smooth like a sheer lipstick? When I applied my new Laura Mercier Stickgloss Rouge a Levres in Black Orchid, I was pleasantly pleased! It applies just like a sheer lipstick. Three cheers for no stickiness! Whoo-hoo!

The composition of sheer lipstick is lightweight and natural; which is exactly what this lipstick feels like. There isn’t anything sticky, slimy, or annoying about it. Love that!

The part of Laura Mercier’s Stickgloss which is glossy, is how it looks. There is more color, or pigment, then with a sheer lipstick. In fact, the color also has some shine; which is what gives off that glossy effect. It really is perfection in a tube.

I love how Black Orchid looks. It gives off that perfectly on-trend, dark, vampy lipstick look without being too dark and costumy. After all, I am a Mother of three, I cannot walk around in stage makeup. Can you imagine? Yikes!

Laura Mercier’s Stickgloss Rouge a Levres is a new favorite of mine. I am looking forward to trying out new colors as the seasons progress. You can find it in many color choices online here.
