Top classic perfumes and best selling perfumes

classic fragrances best selling fragrances perfumes

Classic fragrances from top left: don’t be shy by Kilian / Chanel no. 5 / YSL Libre edp / Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris Baccarat Rouge 540 / Guerlain Shalimar / Valentino /

Throughout the decades there have been fragrance trends, hot selling perfume products, and heavily advertised fragrances. Despite this money-making industry and push to make a perfume popular, there are certain fragrance brands, designers, and scents which have withstood the test of time, changing tastes, trends, and lack of heavy advertising. These are the classics and the best-selling fragrances of our time.

Chances are, you have heard of most, if not all, of these perfumes. There are different levels of popular and classic fragrances. We have pure perfume, eau de parfum, eau de toilette, cologne, and eau de cologne. When you sort through these timeless scents, you will also see price points barely over one hundred dollars and others in the hundreds; as if they are trying to be a thousand dollars! This means, there is a classic fragrance in every price point, and for everyone. You won’t have to break the bank to purchase an investment fragrance. Love that!

What I love about these classic perfumes is that they transcend generation. Fragrances which were popular in the 1980s are still popular now, which means the silent gen, boomers, GenX, Millennials, and GenZ are all fans of these timeless perfumes. Isn’t that fabulous? We might not agree on many topics, but we can all agree a beautiful fragrance transcends time and generation.

I showcased my favorite best-selling fragrances in the collage above, but there are many more! Scroll through the shopping widget below to see all the fragrances which are classic, best-selling, and have been around for ages.

What is your favorite classic perfume? I love don’t be shy by Kilian, Chanel no. 5 and everything from Lancome.

Bookmark this page for the holidays! These are not only great investments, but they will also make the perfect holiday gift! Love!

Chanel nail polish fall 2023 review

chanel nail polish fall 2023 review

Chanel nail polish fall 2023 from left: Chanel Bois Des Iles nail polish / Chanel Ete Indien nail polish /

Are you experiencing a bit of deja vu? Yeah, me too! The Chanel nail polish collection for fall 2023 is eerily similar to the spring collection, just a few shades darker. The bright and cheery Chanel Ete Indien nail polish hue for fall 2023 is nearly identical to Chanel’s Watermelon shade from spring 2023. If you already invested in Watermelon, you can cheat and wear it again for fall! Then we have Chanel Bois Des Iles nail polish. This is a true fall hue. This deep, dark red nail polish is much darker than spring’s Rouge Cuir, so it is the perfect fall nail polish to snap up now. Love!

These shades of nail polish from the red and orange family are right in line with the fall 2023 beauty trends which are edgier versions of classic autumn hues. Chanel Bois Des Iles feels right for the fall season, and I am wearing it as I type this!

The fall color palette is giving us shades of brown, red, blue green and pink with occasional pops of yellow. Both Chanel Etet Indien nail polish and Chanel Bois Des Iles nail polish will play well with these autumn hues which are hitting store shelves as we speak. While I love both colors, Bois Des Iles by Chanel is my favorite. Love!

I tested out both colors from the fall 2023 Chanel nail polish collection with one base coat and two coats of colors. I did not photograph these nail polishes with a top coat. Chanel Bois Des Iles is a cream polish which glides on easily in two coats. Chanel Ete Indien has a gel-like consistency which is quite sheer when applying, but the second coat glides on smoothly and gives the polish an opaque finish; so don’t try to wear it with one coat! You must use two coats for this one.

So, without further ado, here are the two nail polish colors from the Chanel nail polish fall 2023 collection.

As I mentioned above, I am in love with Chanel Bois Des Iles nail polish for the fall 2023 season. I am already wearing it! This is a fabulous color which can be worn in the office, as well as anywhere else. It is a great workhorse for the autumn season. Love that!

Summer fragrances 2023

summer fragrances

Summer fragrances from top left: Jo Malone “Mallow on the Moor” (floral) / diptyque “Ilio edt” (floral) / Laura Mercier “Ambre Vanilla” (warm gourmand) / diptyque “Citronnelle Geranium” (fruity floral-citrus & bug spray) / Chanel no. 5 / Lavanila “Vanilla Coconut” light gourmand) /

Summer is here, which means warmer weather and a new fragrance to enjoy. Love that!

When temperature soar, it is a good idea to lighten up your perfume. If you wear something heavy, it may not, shall we say, perspire well? Yes, we will put it that way.

The summer months are a great time to explore floral fragrances, vanilla scents, and of course, coconut! There is something about coconut and vanilla together which evokes a summer vibe. Love that! My favorite summer fragrance is this Vanilla Coconut scent from Lavanila. I love the vacation vibes it gives out.

Plagued by bugs when it heats up? Me too! I am dying to try this new, limited-edition scent from diptyque which promises to be a fruity floral and a citronella candle on your skin. I’m in! I am purchasing it and will give you a review soon! So, stay tuned. . .

Of course, classic Chanel no. 5 is always appropriate and anything fun and fruity works perfectly in the heat. What are some of your favorite summer scents?
