Chanel Tapage nail polish is one of two nail polish colors from Chanel for the spring 2014 season. This bright, dark coral color offers a red hue with pink undertones. Tapage by Chanel is the ultimate color for a Fashionista who is seeking a classic yet fashion-forward nail polish color for the upcoming spring 2014 season.

The spring 2014 season is all about rainbow colors; especially shades of pink, purple, blue and green! In addition to vivid hues, pastels are hot for spring and many designers are still holding onto neon hues for the upcoming warm weather season. This makes Chanel Tapage nail polish a great color for spring. The light-hearted, reddish-coral hue blends well with spring 2014’s color palette allowing you to change your color story from bright hues to pastels to neon shades without worrying about your nail polish color clashing with your apparel. Love that!

I tested Chanel Tapage out with two coats of color and one base coat; no top coat. The polish last six days before chipping. Chanel Tapage is a cream nail polish with a high shine which gives it a little bit more dimension than your average cream nail polish.

Chanel Tapage nail polish for spring 2014 is priced at $27 and can be found online here.

Chanel Charivari spring 2014 nail polish review

Photo: Chanel Charivari nail polish from the spring 2014 nail polish collection. Photo taken one hour after sunrise, clear skies, light sunlight. This is the true color. Online shopping websites are showing the hue as lighter; it is this dark! Wearing two coats of color, one base coat, no top coat.

Chanel Charivari nail polish is the hot new “IT” color from Chanel’s spring 2014 beauty collection. This deep plum color is perfect for early spring when temperatures are cool and Fashionistas everywhere are still wearing heavier, dark winter clothing. The plum hue shown in the above photo is the actual color. Many online shopping website are showing the color as a light plum; it is a dark plum!

Charivari by Chanel for spring 2014 is a beautiful dark plum/purple color which plays well with shades of blue, green, pink, purple, neutrals, black and of course, metallic hues. The hue works well with winter 2014’s color palette as well as the bright hues from resort 2014 and the medium shades of spring 2014. Love that!

I wore Chanel Charivari for one week and began to see chips on  the sixth day. I used one base coat and two coats of color; no top coat. The nail polish stayed on quite well considering I did a lot of housecleaning and also wore it on a ski trip. I would love to test Chanel Charivari nail polish out with a matte top coat. I think this color would look amazing matte.

Chanel Charivari nail polish from Chanel’s spring 2014 beauty collection is priced at $27 and can be found online here and here.

Chanel Cosmic nail polish review

Photo: Chanel Cosmic nail polish from the “Nuit Magique” collection. Shown with one base coat and two coats of color. Photo taken in direct sun.

Chanel Cosmic is the second of two nail polish hues from Chanel’s limited edition collection “Nuit Magique.” This beautiful, special collection of nail polish was inspired by the fall/winter 2013/2014 runway collection and offers a bridge from the nail polish colors of fall and winter to the darker hues of spring 2014.

That’s right! Spring 2014 will be all about dark nail polish; despite the fact that the apparel of the season will be in medium to pale hues! Chanel Cosmic offers a neutral black background with sparkling star-like shimmer. Inside of Chanel Cosmic nail polish are thousands of beautiful, silvery circles which are tiny and powerful. The sparkles add a “cosmic” element to the nail polish which evokes the feeling of star gazing at night with a loved one.

I wore Chanel Cosmic nail polish with one base coat and two coats of color, no top coat, for a full week. Chanel Cosmic did not chip! The nail polish, which is seemingly black with silver sparkles, looks like a deep chocolate brown in artificial light. I am still convinced it is black and the deep, dark chocolate hue I see while indoors is due to poor lighting. Please leave a comment below if you have tried Chanel Cosmic nail polish and have experienced a similar color phenomena.

Chanel Cosmic nail polish is priced at $27 and can be found at Chanel Boutiques as well as Chanel.com. I have also found a few similar nail polishes around the web at softer price points which  assembled into the shopping widget below. Happy shopping, and stay fabulous 😉
