Black and white for fall 2012

Black and white is a classic combination which was hot for the spring/summer 2012 season. This timeless color combination was also spotted all over the fall 2012 runways and is proving to be a hot trend for the upcoming fall 2012 season.

Black and white has been spotted in fall collections by designers and brands such as Christian Louboutin, BCBG MaxAzria, Manolo Blahnik, Guiseppe Zanotti, Brahmin and more. This classic color combination is easy to pull together and black, white or black/white items can easily be found in your closet from past seasons. Since fall tends to be a moderate to warm season, white items from the summer season can easily be combined with heavier black items such as smoking slippers, motorcycle jackets and satchels to create the perfect fall season look.

It is no surprise that black and white can be found in every type of garment and accessory imaginable. The classic color combination is also easy to find in fall 2012’s prints which include animal and digital designs. Black and white can also be worn in a color blocked fashion; another carry-over trend from the spring and summer seasons.

The black and white trend for the fall 2012 season is a great time to shop your closet for black and white items from past seasons. This is also an easy trend to spice up with the continuing metallic trend. Silver accessories are a great way to add a little sizzle to a black and white ensemble this fall season! Love this!

Digital prints for fall: fashion gets high tech

Prints are huge for fall 2012. Any type of print is hot; from animal prints to kitschy patterns to high tech inspired prints. The biggest trend in prints from the runway, which has taken store shelves and the street by storm, is the high tech inspired print known as the “Digital Print.”

Digital prints for fall may not look like the inside of a computer, but they give the appearance of being created with a digital device rather than freeform by the human hand. These often blurred, digital prints are being found in bright colors as well as classic black and white. Although some designers have mixed prints together on a single frock, as if they were color blocking, the majority of digital prints are being found alone.

Dresses, jackets and blouses are the most common articles of clothing donning digital prints this fall season. Accessories have not joined the trend this fall; but that isn’t to say they couldn’t in a future season

The silhouettes on digital print dresses this fall are varied. Designers have opted for body conscious styles, a-line vintage style dresses and also tee-shirt style dresses in formal fabrics such as silk.

Digital prints are not for the faint of the heart. They are splashy and will definitely get you noticed. We found a few fun and splashy digital dresses around the web and assembled them together in this article. Hope you love them! Happy shopping and stay fabulous

Shades of burgundy for fall

Burgundy, dark cherry, maroon, oxblood; there are several names and shades of burgundy which are traditional for the fall season. For fall 2012, burgundy is one of the more important colors of the season and has been mixed together with the jewel-tone color trend as well as traditional fall colors which have moved front-and-center this fall season.

Burgundy is an easy to color wear. The dark nature of the color is naturally slimming and burgundy can easily be mixed with dark neutrals such as shades of brown and black. Burgundy can also be mixed with navy, mustard, emerald green, rich shades of purple and dark berry shades as part of 2012’s modern color blocking trend.

This is also a color which can easily be worn during the day or evening. Burgundy for fall 2012 is also being found on garments, accessories and in make-up. Since there is such a large amount of burgundy inventory for the fall 2012 season out there, it is important to not go overboard and tonal with burgundy. Burgundy should be one piece of an ensemble for the fall season; with the exception of complimentary make-up hues.

One of the big ways to wear burgundy, maroon, deep red or oxblood this fall is in a handbag. A burgundy (or any deep shade of red or berry) satchel for the fall season is H-O-T and solid colored satchels, as well as color blocked satchels with burgundy in them, are right on-trend for the fall season.
