I love the fact that beautiful, high-quality handbags are still important in fashion and street style. Logo bags are still being stored in the back our closets, so this fall season, we get to wear handbags we love with small brand emblems or no logo at all. Love that!

Handbags for the fall 2024 season include hobo handbags, small totes, east/west bags, north/south totes (I have one on my wish list), and classic shoulder bags. Doctor bags are making a comeback too. Lastly, we are also seeing an emergence of box totes in varying sizes. I have one on my wish list too!

In addition to silhouettes, neutral hues, black, shades of dark red including burgundy, and olive green are hot for fall. We are also seeing more suede this season, but for me, I would ruin a suede bag on day one. I just know I would spill something on it or set it down somewhere. If you think you can wear suede incident-free, go for it! For me, I plan to stick to regular leather.

So, this fall season, these are the bags from my collection I plan to have on regular rotation. I also hope to add two more, a north/south tote and a small boxy tote.

We are in luck this fall 2024 season! The handbag trends are building on what many of us already have in our closet from recent seasons. So, if you have had your eye on a handbag, you still have time to snap it up and move it from your wish list to your wardrobe. Love that!

Fall 2024 is all about the anonymous handbag. We are looking at a surge in north/south totes and east/west satchels. The color palette is traditional with neutral hues, black, olive, burgundy/maroon, and winter white. Logo’s are still staying stored in the back of our closets, and high quality, simple silhouettes are reigning supreme.

When it comes to handbags, look for a color or colors you feel will blend with the majority of your closet. Investing in a dark red or olive-type green will give you a traditional handbag you will wear every fall season. So, don’t feel guilty getting an autumn hue, it will have longevity!

The handbag trends we are seeing for the fall 2024 are also perfect investment handbags. Since they are not trendy or fleeting colors, they can stay in our wardrobe for years and get continued use. The silhouettes are also timeless and should give us a lot of wear right now and as we move into the new year. None of these styles are hyper-trendy, so we don’t need to worry about spending money on a new bag for fall. Love that!

Speaking of spending money, the hottest brands, designers and styles right now won’t break the bank. You can get an IT style for under $1000. In fact, emerging designers and relatively unknown brands are having a moment. So, investing in a high-quality bag with a simple, chic silhouette is hot right now. Of course, brands such as Coach, Mansur Gavriel, and Songmont are also continuing to be hot right now too. Love!

Handbag Wish List fall 2024

There are so many beautiful handbags out there right now! My handbag wish list for fall 2024 is actually longer than what is pictured above. I really need to plant a money tree in my yard. haha

That being said, the fall 2024 season is all about beautiful, well-crafted handbags. As you know, I tend to gravitate towards black handbags, so I am trying to invest in other colors. This fall season, shades of red, green/olive, and brown are hot and high on my list. Of course, this black hobo bag has caught my eye; I mean, I really don’t think you can ever have too many black bags! Ha!

The silhouettes and styles for fall handbags continue to be soft and timeless. We are still looking at slouchy handbags, as well as structured east/west bags. The box bag is gaining popularity as more designers put their version on the runway and store shelves. North/south totes are also still hot on the streets. I love this large version and its little sister, this mini version. Of course, the hobo bag remains an important handbag style as we continue through 2024, and well into 2025. Love that!

I will dig deeper into the fall 2024 handbag trends in August, so stay tuned! Right now, this is my wish list in order to round out my collection for the fall season, you might wish for these bags too! They all happen to be under $1000. Love!
