A look back at fall/winter 2018/2019 New York Fashion Week. Some of my photos came out OK, while others look horrible! If I wasn’t able to snap pictures, or my pictures were beyond being saved in Photoshop, I used a press photo from the runway. I tried my best to post my favorite look from each runway. Enjoy!

One of the most comfortable trends for spring, outside of athleisure, is the menswear trend. Why is men’s clothing so much more comfortable then ours? Thank goodness for this trend! I needed something comfortable, yet on trend to wear on day three of New York Fashion Week. This spring 2018 menswear inspired suit from Express fit the bill!
This suit is so amazing! Although it is a spring 2018 outfit, the blazer and sweater offer medium weight, which makes it an ideal outfit for wearing now during the winter season, and well into the spring season. I love clothing which transitions between seasons!
Together, the pants, blazer, and sweater make a fabulous outfit for winter days. If the temperatures drop below forty, a jacket or coat can be thrown on top of the outfit, plus a scarf, to make it cozy. Over forty degrees, this outfit is good to go! I wore it in the morning at fashion week when it was forty degrees. It was also comfortable later in the day when the temperatures rose to the high fifties.
The great thing about a suit, is that it can be integrated into your closet to create multiple new outfits. The pants can be worn alone with the sweater or paired with a chunky sweater for cold days. The blazer is great as a lightweight spring jacket over jeans, or a pencil skirt. (pencil skirts are hot for spring by the way). The sweater can double as a casual piece when paired with any style of jeans. There are so many outfit possibilities with these three pieces!! Love!
As the day wore on, I switched out of my high heel boots and into my silver sneakers and jeans. In my casual and comfy state, street style photographer Denton Taylor snapped me in front of the NYFW shows! Here is one of his photos:
On warmer days, the suit can be worn with high heel sandals instead of boots. It can also be made more conservative (perhaps for an office environment) when paired with pointy toe pumps. (also, a hot spring trend!) I cannot wait to keep re-wearing these pieces throughout winter and well into spring!
What are your thoughts on the menswear trend? Is it your thing this season?

One of my favorite shows every season at fashion week is A Detacher. For the fall/winter 2018/2019 season, the collection solidified my love for it when it made its way down the New York Fashion Week runway at Pier 59 Studios.
The models walked slowly, with somber, yet mellow demeanors. The color palette was autumnal and light. There was subtle texture, soft prints, sophisticated styling, and a slightly more grown up vibe to the collection then A Detacher has shown in previous seasons. It was downright fabulous!
With effortless silhouettes, the fall 2018 A Detacher collection featured peaceful prints, cozy fabrications, understated and cool messenger bags, and fabulous shoes! Oh the shoes!
There were three distinct footwear styles on the A Detacher runway. The low heeled pump offered full coverage with an understated peep toe, and was shown in metallics and snakeskin. There were two boots styles on the runway; ankle booties and a knee boot. Both boot styles were classic and chic. The ankle boots were to-die-for! I definitely need a pair in my life!
I love so many looks from the runway. My two favorite looks were the blue jacket and the winter white sweater over a blue top, and winter white trousers. So chic and fabulous! Which looks are your favorite?
