It’s that time of year again when the weather toys with us and gives one day of summer, one day of winter, and one day in-between. When those peek-at-summer days happen, we all start looking at what we have ready in our closets for summer. One of the big, on-trend items we all need is a straw bag.

The straw bag for summer 2022 is a great summer staple because it evokes vacation vibes, offers neutral hues to match any outfit, and is specific to summer or exotic trips. Love a good basket bag!

As straw bags have increased in popularity the past few years, designers have been getting more creative, and they are giving us more options to choose from. For the summer 2022 season, we can find a basket bag in almost any style we want; and I love it! I own the Loewe tote bag featured in this post, and it is a classic style that Loewe releases every spring/summer. I love having a classic bag I can pull out every summer. If you want a classic straw bag, I highly recommend it!

On trend IT bags on your mind? The drawstring bag is hot this year, and there are a few fabulous options. I linked up the two IT versions of the style in the collage above. Do you love fragrances as much as I do? Of course you do! One of the fun ways to wear fragrance, without using perfume, if through scented body lotion. In addition to fun scents, body lotion of great for keeping our skin hydrated and also to help slow down the aging process. Love that!

As you can tell from the scents I have chosen to feature, I love a good gourmand. When temperatures heat up, I gravitate towards coconut and citrus scents. So, while a good vanilla is my go-to during the cooler months, I switch things up and reach for coconut or citrus scents in warmer temperatures. That being said, I am currently addicted to Colleen Rothschild’s Tahitian Manoi. It’s slightly tropical, slightly sweet, and very smooth. I am not really sure how to describe it except to say-LOVE! So, if you are looking for a new scent, try Tahitian Manoi!

These are also my go-to brands when it comes to body cream. Laura Mercier, Lalicious, Colleen Rothschild, and Fresh offer non-greasy, non-drying, very, moisturizing body care products. If you are looking for a great cream, but a different scent than what I am featuring, these are the best brands for body care, in my opinion.

This week was all about classic style, and gifts for Mom! With Mother’s Day fast approaching, it is the perfect time to snap up a beautiful fragrance for her to rock this spring and well into the summer season. It is also a perfect time to give her the gift a fabulous new handbag she can show off to the world!

Floral fragrances, top handle bags, hobo bags, and classic blazers are hot right now. If you haven’t added a blazer to your wardrobe, now is the time to do it! A blazer instantly elevates a pair of jeans and a tee, plus, it can be used as the perfect cover up when the fog rolls in as we move into late spring, and the summer season.

I’m very addicted to blazers this year! They will be hot for fall too, so a classic blazer is a fabulous investment. Of course, designers are showing bright blue and orange for fall too! So, if you want color, indulge in a bright hue.
