New York Fashion Week in February is always tricky to dress for. Since it is the biggest fashion event in the United States, I always feel like I need to not only bring my A game, but my A+ game! Since spring 2018 is starting to hit stores shelves, I can’t be caught wearing something which screams “last season” while I attend fashion week. Yet, it is February in New York, and it often snows; which means how do you rock the spring trends while dressing for winter?! Eeeek!

This spring 2018 outfit from JD Williams solved the ‘cold weather but I want to wear spring’ conundrum I always face at fashion week in February. It offers up the latest spring trends yet offers an in-between style which can be worn in the winter, and throughout the spring months. Love that!

Dawn and I even got snapped by street style photographers while I was wearing this outfit. Check out the fun photo below by street style photographer Denton Taylor!

Cold shoulders are a huge continuing trend from last year into this year. This navy sweater is perfect to wear now into spring since it reflects the cold shoulder trend, which happens to be a hot winter trend, as well as a hot spring trend. I love how versatile it is. This sweater looks great with the maxi skirt for a creative office setting, brunch, a baby shower, picnic, and more! It also looks fabulous with jeans and boots for a cute and casual daytime look. Or, it can be dressed up for a night out with the girls by paired the sweater with skinny jeans, high heels, and a small clutch. It can also be layered under a blazer as part of the current menswear trend. This cold shoulder sweater really is a capsule piece for spring; it is a must-have!

These boots were so comfortable at fashion week. I am on my feet for a large portion of the day while attending shows. There is a lot of walking and standing in line; so comfortable footwear is a necessity. These boots were fabulous, and I can’t wait to wear them often this spring season.

You know I love handbags, and this tote turned into my savior at fashion week. It was comfortable to carry, and I love how I had the option to hold it by the circular top handles, or with the detached shoulder strap. I mostly held it by the handles because let’s face it, circle handle totes are all the rage right now!

This was my day two outfit at fashion week, and it carried me through the day. I can’t wait to wear this outfit during the spring season, as well as separate the pieces to create more spring looks with items from my closet. Love!

It also happened to be National Pizza Day. Dawn and I found a yummy pizza place near Spring Studios to celebrate. So fun!!
