Fashionistas are in for a treat this Fall! Chunky knit sweaters are making a comeback, and after the cool summer the Bay Area has suffered from this year, it looks like the Fall season might be on the cool side as well. This means it will be the perfect season for a fabulous chunky knit sweater!
Designers are showing many different styles of chunky knit sweaters for Fall 2010. There are long cardigan sweaters being shown by Philip Lim, Chloe, Jil Sander and Rebecca Taylor. The long chunky knit cardigan sweater will be the perfect way to keep warm while wearing 1970s style flair pants this Fall. This style of sweater is also an easy casual piece that can be worn open, closed or even belted with a fabulous, thick leather belt.
Other designers such as Georgio Armani are showing short or cropped chunky knit cardigans’s. Short chunky knit cardigan’s can be dressed up slightly more than the longer version and worn with a pair of classic trousers to kepp warm at the office. Prada is showing a cozy yet body conscious long-sleeved chunky knit sweater for Fall that will compliment casual and daytime dressy looks with a pencil skirt or flair pants.
Chunky knit sweaters are fairly classic and fade in and out of fashion every couple of years or so. They make a great investment and can be found in a variety of price ranges.
