It’s here! Pantone has released their spring/summer 2015 color report from the New York Fashion Week runways. As we have seen throughout the first day of fashion week, muted and soft hues are popular among designers for spring/summer 2015. Pantone has given us the top ten hues favored by New York designers for the spring/summer 2015 collection.

Drum-roll please. . .

The top ten colors for spring/summer 2015 are:

Aquamarine

Scuba Blue

Lucite Green

Classic Blue

Toasted Almond

Strawberry Ice

Tangerine

Custard

Marsala

Glacier Grey

Designers in New York are commonly grouping Classic Blue, Lucite Green and/or Scuba Blue together. Toasted Almond is commonly shown with Strawberry Ice or Tangerine. Custard is shown mainly with Classic Blue while Marsala is paired with Glacier Grey or Aquamarine.

There you have it! What do you think of the new spring/summer 2015 color palette? Do you have a favorite color from the top ten?

Pantone’s fall 2014 color report is here! Sangria is the beautiful color we saw on Monique Lhuilier’s runway which appeared to be a fuchsia hue. Rebcca Minkoff showed multiple pieces in Royal Blue and Bright Cobalt. Aurora Red is the fabulous, classic red hue we saw on almost every runway in New York! Designers loved combining the blue and purple hues from this report together in beautiful prints and plaids. It is amazing how dominant these top ten colors were on the New York runways!

Which color or colors are you looking forward to for fall? I already know I want as much purple and blue as possible! The Royal Blue coat on Rebecca Minkoff’s runway is a must-have for me!

Since Pantone announced the color of 2014, Radiant Orchid, in early December 2013, Fashionistas everywhere have been flocking to stores and shopping websites in search of the coveted “IT” color for the new year. One of the easy ways to incorporate this vivid hue is with cosmetics; specifically lipstick!

Pantone teams up every year with Sephora to create a make-up collection which reflects the color of the year. This year, Radiant Orchid, is an easy hue to turn into cosmetics since it is naturally a color found in make-up on a daily basis! Due to this fact, the lipstick has flown off the shelves and is next to impossible to find! Thankfully there are several other lipsticks on the market which are similar to the coveted color of 2014, Radiant Orchid.

I found a few alternatives to Sephora + Pantone’s Radiant Orchid lipstick and assembled them into this article. Some of the colors have a little more pink than Radiant Orchid while others offer more of a purple tinge. I hope you love them as much as I do! Happy shopping, and stay fabulous 😉
