Viva Magenta! How fun is the color of the year for 2023!? Love! I am really happy my vintage wool scarf is the color of 2023, especially since I purchased it in 1999! A scarf is a really easy way to add a pop of color to any winter look. If you are looking for a scarf, I love this one under $100. It’s a good quality scarf as I have the same one in green, blue, and light pink. You will love it!

My winter 2023 capsule wardrobe is similar to my fall and holiday capsule wardrobes; with the exception of the pop of color. Since winter is the first season in January, I wanted my color accent to be Viva Magenta; the color of 2023!

The styles from the fall and holiday seasons have remained the same. We are looking at blazers with jeans, power suits for the office or dressier occasions, wide or flare jeans, and a general nod to the trends from the turn of the century.

Cozy winter coat

On our recent trip to Central PA, we saw snow! Yay! It was fun to see snow so early in the season, and especially being from California! This cozy coat was perfect, and I ended up wearing it every day during our trip. Temperatures during our trip ranged from the teens up to the 40’s. Now that I am back home, I find myself reaching for it often since we have had a lot of rain lately, and the temperatures have been in the 30’s and 40’s. This coat is perfect and cozy! Love!

This photo was taken after we toured the caves at Lincoln Caverns. These boots and this cozy coat were perfect for a lot of walking and staying warm. I also used my coat to stay warm on the airplane. It was perfect!

If you are looking for a winter coat that works in rain and snow, this is it! You will see me in a lot this season!

Cozy puffy coat and flares

OK, so in case you haven’t noticed, I wear these jeans all the time! They are super comfortable and fit really well. Plus, they are under $100! Love that!

But let’s get to the important things. . .

This vegan leather puffy jacket is on major sale! I purchased this jacket last year and find myself wearing it all the time during cold weather. It is super comfortable, and I love how fabulous it looks. It is currently on sale in both black and brown. So, if you have been eyeing it, now is the time to snap one up!

Also, in case you missed it, Pantone announced the color of 2023 earlier this month. It is Viva Magenta, and you can read about it here. I have this vintage pashmina scarf from the late 1990s which is somewhat similar to Viva Magenta, so I decided to pull it out and wear it as often as possible. I found another similar scarf for under $100 here in case you want to rock the color of 2023 this winter with me! I really like it paired with blue. Which color or colors do you like Viva Magenta paired with for clothing? It is being paired with neutrals for home interior such as shades of beige or pale tan.
