Kate Spade held her spring/summer 2015 presentation on September, 5 2015 during New York Fashion Week. The collection was true to Kate Spade’s well-loved aesthetic and included playful prints and handbags. The garden theme Kate Spade portrayed during the presentation included real grass on the venue’s floor; which set the ideal setting for the collection that instantly took you on a warm, spring day picnic.

The flattering silhouettes included fit and flare, sheath dresses, a-line skirts, full skirt with pleats, crop tops and feminine blouses. The colors were vivid without being bright or neon. Kate Spade also showed a variety of flat sandals, wedges and high heels which can easily be worn from casual day-wear to casual-chic evening attire.

I adore the prints, fit and flare styles, and whimsical handbags in Kate Spade’s spring/summer 2015 New York Fashion Week presentation. I am looking forward to when Kate Spade’s spring/summer 2015 collection hits stores! Which style from the presentation is your favorite?

What I wore: Menlo Charity Horse Show

Pictured: Earrings: Ippolita / Lipstick: c/o Dolce & Gabbana “Petal” / Dress: Kate Spade / Bracelets: Ippolita, Vince Camuto / Nail Polish: Chanel “Magic” / Handbag: Chanel (also love SAVE or SPLURGE) / Wedges: Tory Burch (past season, current season here)

Last week, I attended the Menlo Charity Horse Show with Ariat; more about the event here. I knew the event would be held outside, and on grass, so I opted for a pair of wedges which are easy to walk around in and would not sink into the lawn. I also decided to wear this Kate Spade dress which is made from a light knit. I loved wearing this dress since it was cool enough for a warm August day yet offered enough warmth when the fog started to roll in over the hills. I am definitely looking forward to wearing this Kate Spade dress again as we move from late summer into the fall season. It will be perfect for our warm Bay Area fall weather; and with the addition of a jacket or blazer, it will be ideal when the fog rolls in from the ocean!

What I wore: SFA presents Oscar de la Renta resort 2015 benefit

Pictured: Hat: Eric Javits / Earrings: Ippolita / Lipstick: c/o Dolce & Gabbana “Petal” / Dress: Kate Spade / Bracelet: Ippolita / Nail Polish: c/o Dolce & Gabbana “Gaia” / Handbag: Chanel (past season, also love SAVE or SPURGE) / Shoes: Chie Mihara (past season, also love SAVE or SPLURGE)

A couple of weeks ago I attended the Saks Fifth Avenue presents Oscar de la Renta resort 2015 to benefit the League to Save Lake Tahoe in Incline Village, Nevada. The event was a beautiful fundraiser which helped raise much-needed funds for ensuring a clean environment in the Tahoe area. The added perk of the fundraiser was getting a sneak peek, or first-hand look, at Oscar de la Renta’s resort 2015 collection. You can read my write-up here.

I knew the event would be out in the sun so I was excited to find this Kate Spade dress made out of cool cotton, and this Eric Javits hat with spf protection. I felt like the two pieces were made for each other! I have also found myself wearing this hat for many occasions other than the fundraiser. You can see when I wore it boating here.

It is always fun to dress up and put an outfit together for a special occasion. I am keeping my fingers crossed for another event soon where I can re-wear this outfit!
