The Chanel spring 2017 nail polish collection is here! This year Chanel has taken an edgy yet classic approach to nail polish. The spring 2017 nail polish collection includes a pale, pinkish-beige color named “Beige Beige,” a clear, pearly white hue named “Blanc White,” and an avant-garde top coat with a black tinge named “Black Metamorphosis.”

Blanc White, and Beige Beige, are both part of the Longwear nail colour collection, while Black Metamorphosis is a sheer, color-tinged top coat. Here they are!

Chanel Beige Beige nail polish spring 2017

Chanel Beige Beige nail polish for spring 2017 is my favorite color from the collection. This is a sweet, pinkish-beige hue which is easy to wear daily. It is also a classic, spring color which captures the vibe of the season.

I used one base coat, and two coats of color with Beige Beige by Chanel. It is a cream polish, and with the second coat, did not show any streaks. Very pretty color!

Chanel Blanc White nail polish spring 2017

Chanel Blanc White nail polish is a soft, sheer, pearly white hue which is a great neutral for the spring season. Although I am wearing Blanc White by Chanel on my hands at the moment, when sandal weather comes around, I plan to wear this color on my toes and go darker on my fingers.

I used one base coat, and two coats of color-no streaks! If you are looking for a clean looking color which is classic and easy to wear this spring, Blanc White is your hue!

Chanel Black Metamorphosis Top Coat nail polish spring 2017

There is always at least one color in Chanel’s seasonal nail polish collections which is new and exciting. Black Metamorphosis top coat is that color. It can take a sweet polish such as Beige Beige, or an understated hue such as Blanc White, and transform them into something avant-garde.

Black Metamorphosis top coat by Chanel is shown in this photo with three coats over Beige Beige. Topping Beige Beige off with Black Metamorphosis gave it a slightly pinkish undertone, causing the sheer black hue to take on a brownish-black vibe,

Did you catch that I used three coats? Ah yes, this top coat will streak like crazy if you are not careful! Also, it does not apply evenly, so the streaks are extremely pronounced with fewer coats. It is up to you how you want to wear Chanel Black Metamorphosis top coat. You can wear one coat, which shows off the underneath color the most, and leaves a heavily streaky coat on top, or you can tone the streaks down with two coats.

I prefer to see more of the top coat, then the color underneath, so I applied a third coat. Streaks drive me crazy, so I had to keep applying it until I felt it was as non-streaky as possible; without compromising the effect of allowing the underneath color to show through just a little bit. 😉

The pinkish-brownish-charcoalish-blackish result of three coats of Black Metamorphosis over Beige Beige turned out to be a color I really love for spring. It is a little edgy, a little bit different, and a new way of looking at creating color on my nails. Love that!

The spring 2017 nail polish collection by Chanel is a cross between classic and sweet, and edgy and modern. Love! You can find the Chanel spring 2017 nail polish collection online here and online here. It is limited edition, as always, so the popular colors will sell fast. If you like one or more of these colors, snap them up now while you can!

Chanel Pink Rubber nail polish holidays 2016

Chanel Pink Rubber nail polish is one of two colors Chanel introduced for the holiday 2016 season. Pink Rubber by Chanel is also part of the “Velvet Nail Lacquer” collection which is a type of matte nail polish.

If you are a fan of matte nail polish, you are in luck! Chanel Pink Rubber is a dainty, pale matte pink polish which is feminine, and acts as a neutral. This is a great color to move through the holidays, into the resort season, for finishing the winter months, and transitioning to spring. This is the color that can do it all!

Pale pink nail polish is a huge trend this winter season. The hottest colors in winter and holiday nails include pale pink, shades of red, and metallics. If pale pink is the nail polish trend you want to follow this season, Chanel Pink Rubber nail polish is the way to go!

The matte finish of Pink Rubber gives a modern edge to an otherwise classic, and feminine hue. As with all Chanel nail polishes, Pink Rubber is long lasting. I tested it out with one base coat, and three coats of color, no top coat. The nail polish lasted a full week before my nails grew out and they needed to be changed.

Pink Rubber by Chanel is a pale pink, cream nail polish which needs three coats applied in order to not be streaky. Since Chanel polish is strong, you don’t really need a top coat, so the extra coat of color is not a big deal. So if you usually add a matte top coat to your polish, you are in luck! Chanel Pink Rubber is matte so you don’t need to take that extra step.

Chanel Pink Rubber nail polish is limited edition, and part of the holidays 2016 collection. It is selling out fast! You can find Chanel Pink Rubber online here.

Chanel Emeraude nail polish for summer 2016 review

chanel emeraude nail polish summer 2016

Pictured: Chanel Emeraude nail polish for summer 2016

Chanel Emeraude nail polish is a vivid, dark green nail polish hue from Chanel’s summer 2016 beauty collection. This seemingly autumn hue, is just bright enough to border on a summer green; yet dark enough to be a good transitional color for the late summer, and early fall season. Love that!

While dark green is normally a color we see in the fall season, Chanel has thrown out the notion of traditional seasonal hues, and they have given us a fall brown, as reviewed here, and a fall green; with a twist. Although the summer brown nail polish hue offered an extremely autumn vibe, Chanel Emeraude nail polish offers a mixture of summer and fall; making the shade transcend season.

Chanel Emeraude nail polish is a fabulous color to wear this summer season in contrast to all of the bright colors, and girlish pinks, we are seeing in nail polish this season. Emeraude by Chanel is an evergreen hue, with a slight sparkle undertone, which plays well with summer neutrals, as well as summer brights. It also offers a fresh take on what summer green is supposed to look like.

I tested out Chanel Emeraude nail polish with one base coat, two coats of Emeraude, and one shiny top coat. The nail polish wore well for a full week. I had a little bit of wear on my right hand, but I believe it is from cleaning the kitchen without gloves. I am really bad about wearing gloves to do housework.

This will be a fun color to wear later on in the summer when I start to style my summer clothing in the fall trends. It looks amazing with shades of brown, and summer neutrals. I love the earthy vibe it gives off.
