The holiday season is short and sweet, so my capsule wardrobe for the season is also short and sweet. I have four key pieces which can be mixed and matched into several outfits, making it versatile, and also great for traveling during this festive season. Love that!

I love a good sparkle during the holidays, and this sweater offers the perfect amount. The sparkling silver stripes allow it to be festive enough for evening yet understated enough for daytime wear. This sweater paired with jeans is the perfect casual, daytime holiday look. Love!

Of course, for dressy casual occasions, or warmer weather, this sparking black top paired with jeans and heels is the ideal mix of celebration vibes and effortless casual. Grab a faux fur jacket from the archives and its casual party ready!

Have I mentioned how comfy this fabulous skirt is? This skirt offers a fun twist on a classic silhouette with this liquid leather (faux leather) fabric. It’s soft, easy to care for, wrinkle resistant, and looks amazing. Paired with a sweater, it is a fabulous cool weather, holiday look. With the black sparkling top, it is ready for any holiday party invite you RSVP to. Love that!

Handbag capsule wardrobe fall 2024

I love the fact that beautiful, high-quality handbags are still important in fashion and street style. Logo bags are still being stored in the back our closets, so this fall season, we get to wear handbags we love with small brand emblems or no logo at all. Love that!

Handbags for the fall 2024 season include hobo handbags, small totes, east/west bags, north/south totes (I have one on my wish list), and classic shoulder bags. Doctor bags are making a comeback too. Lastly, we are also seeing an emergence of box totes in varying sizes. I have one on my wish list too!

In addition to silhouettes, neutral hues, black, shades of dark red including burgundy, and olive green are hot for fall. We are also seeing more suede this season, but for me, I would ruin a suede bag on day one. I just know I would spill something on it or set it down somewhere. If you think you can wear suede incident-free, go for it! For me, I plan to stick to regular leather.

So, this fall season, these are the bags from my collection I plan to have on regular rotation. I also hope to add two more, a north/south tote and a small boxy tote.

Fall shoe capsule wardrobe 2024

As much as I love a good casual capsule wardrobe, style is getting a little bit more dressed up as we head into the fall season. This means my shoe capsule wardrobe for fall 2024 needs to be a bit more polished. Of course, I have my stand-by high heels stored in my closet, but my day-to-day footwear is going to be slightly elevated from street sneakers.

Flats are still huge this fall season, so ballet flats and Mary Jane flats are great additions to a fall wardrobe. I love these two pairs from Vionic which provide solid arch support. The “V” logo on the side of the Mary Janes adds a nice touch to the shoes without looking like an actual logo. Flats are great with skirts, dresses and pants, making them an easy shoe to wear daily; and a dressy alternative to sneakers.

Loafers are still hot on the streets, as well as timeless. This makes loafers a great investment purchase; in case you don’t already own a pair. I love this comfy pair which also has arch support.

Lastly, a fabulous pair of boots is always in order when it comes to a fall shoe capsule wardrobe. This pewter pair is a fun alternative to basic black, so I look forward to wearing these instead of my black boots this fall season. They add a little spice to an overall fall outfit. Love that!
