Is it fall yet? I am so done with summer weather; fall cannot come soon enough! That being said, I am all set for fall! This autumn season, casual style is classic style. We are seeing timeless Pendleton sweaters, stripes inspired by nautical design, and denim which is being shown in classic, wide leg, and flare cuts.

I am a sucker for sweaters, so when I spotted this thick and cozy Pendleton sweater for fall, I knew I needed it in my life! It is a classic beige hue with a touch of red which will make it easy to wear with a fall color palette. It is definitely the hero piece of my casual fall capsule wardrobe for the fall 2923 season! Love!

In addition to sweaters, the denim pencil skirt is hot, which is fabulous because I am all about casual style. In early fall, when temperatures are still warm, this denim pencil skirt will pair well with my stripe sweater and loafers. Then, when temperature drop as fall moves on, it will look fabulous with boots and this Pendelton sweater over a long sleeve tee. The skirt will also translate into winter style! I plan to pair it with winter boots and my puffy black jacket, which you will see in the winter season!

Happy August! This month is going to be very busy! School is starting and my college student will be heading back to the dorms for another year. This means I will be on the go! When my life is busy, I don’t have time for fussy handbags. For August, I will be rotating through my small handbags so I can wear them cross body if need be. I will only be carrying my purse essentials and keeping myself hands free. Busy busy!

August is also a transitional month. It is still summer, yet the stores are stocking beautiful fall merchandise. This makes us all yearn for cooler weather, cozier ensembles, and, at least for me, pumpkin spice. Don’t hate! I love a good pumpkin spice latte, cookies, muffin, etc. Go ahead, call me basic, I don’t really care. haha

Since fall styles are surrounding us, I like to integrate fall trends while still dressing for the weather. The easiest way to do this is with handbags, nail polish, and color. Shades of green are still hot for fall as well as neutral hues, black, and shades of blue and red. I am on the hunt for a forest green handbag, dark brown bag, and a burgundy handbag. In the meantime, I am loving what I have in my closet. They suit my life perfectly right now.

Summer is here! This warm weather season, I am embracing smaller bags as my children are all teenagers and no longer in the habit of handing me things to carry. haha I can get through the day with my wallet, phone, keys, lipstick, and kleenex in my handbag. Love that!

Of course, the summer season is also a time when a fabulous tote bag is in order. I love having my small straw tote as well as a roomy tote I can carry tons of random items in. This large tote bag is perfect for my daily purse essentials as well as a scarf or cardigan for when the fog rolls in, a book, a water bottle, sunscreen, and snacks. It is made from sturdy leather and easy to wipe clean, since it is pebble leather.

The anonymous handbag trend is easy to follow this summer since I have never been a huge logo person anyway. I love wearing high quality handbags which speak for themselves instead of advertising who made them. While the anonymous handbag is considered a trend right now, it is a classic style which technically transcends trends in the long term. So, it really is an investment bag style versus a fleeting trend.

Now now, I know you are looking at that Tory Burch logo and Loewe logo asking me if I am blind. haha, I see them! If we drill down, I find those two logos to be more decorative that to be loud logos. While they are recognizable, I don’t feel like they are advertising, if that makes sense. Feel free to sound off in the comments!
