Bay Area Fashion Week features local and national designers while raising money to end hunger

Bay Area Fashion Week took place Saturday night at San Jose State University and raised much-needed funds for Second Harvest Food Bank and Mainitnons Sa Amerika. Both charities work hard to ensure everyone has a meal on their plate.

The first annual Bay Area Fashion Week was a two hour, fashion and charity extravaganza which featured fashion from local designers such as LHC Couture and as well as national designers from shops at Santana Row, Valley Fair Mall and the Great Mall of Milpitas.

Bay Area Fashion Week also featured celebrities including Miss World-Canada, Riza Santos, who was on hand to help raise money for the cause and model in the runway show. Comedian and Mix 106.5 DJ Sandy Stec hosted the event and opened with a comic routine that kept the crowd falling off of their chairs in laughter.
