Laura Mercier Moderne Red nail polish review

Laura Mercier’s new “Moderne Red” from the holiday 2012 collection is the ultimate cherry on top of any look this holiday season. This cherry-red color is a classic holiday hue and works perfectly with all of the glittering holiday looks this season. Love that!

Red is already a hot shade for the fall/winter 2012/2013 season, making “Moderne Red” by Laura Mercier the perfect cherry red for 2012 holiday season. Classic + on-trend = fabulous!

To achieve the exact color on nails found inside the “Moderne Red” by Laura Mercier bottle, the nail polish needs two coats. We applied one base coat plus two coats of color and the polish lasted one week; the only reason it was time to re-polish was because my nails grew! As with all of Laura Mercier’s nail polish colors, “Moderne Red” is highly chip resistant and retains its color and shine throughout the week.

“Moderne Red” by Laura Mercier is perfect for the holiday 2012 season as well as being a staple in ones’ nail polish collection. The shade is classic and easy to wear; adding timeless appeal to anyone’s’ nail polish wardrobe. Love that!

Laura Mercier nail polish, including “Moderne Red,” can be found online at LauraMercier.com orSephora.com. Happy shopping, happy holidays and stay fabulous

Winter 2013 Trends: Baroque

One of the big fall/winter 2012/2013 runway trends is baroque. This intricate and design-heavy trend, which seemed to be a little bit much for the warm and moderate weather during the fall season,  has found itself popularity on the street for the cool, winter 2013 season as heavier fabrics and ensembles move to the forefront of every fashion-savvy womans’ closet.

Fashionistas on the street are wearing the baroque trend in subtle ways this winter 2013 season. Instead of head-to-looks from the runways, fashion-savvy women are picking one baroque item and styling an understated outfit around that item.

When wearing the baroque trend this winter 2013 season, look for one key piece you love and will be able to wear with multiple pieces in your closet. One statement coat, handbag, dress or pair of shoes is the easiest way to own a piece of the baroque trend without breaking the bank or over-buying a trend which may not return in winter 2014.

We have included a few examples in this article to help you incorporate the baroque trend into your winter 2013 wardrobe. Hope you love it! Happy shopping and stay fabulous

Twisted Silver’s Crush Earrings: signature earrings for the spring/summer season

The spring/summer season brings a new dainty jewelry trend to the forefront of both runway fashion and street style. In addition to small jewelry pieces being hot for the upcoming warm weather seasons, bright colors, neon hues and pastel shades will also dominate store shelves and the street. This makes the new “Crush Earrings” by Twisted Silver the perfect signature piece for the upcoming spring/summer 2013 season!

Twisted Silver’s new “Crush Earrings” are petite in size and big on style. The greenish hued crystal drop backed by a wavy brass disc creates a soft yet geometric look which resonates with the current silhouettes and prints of the new spring/summer 2013 season. With more blues, greens and purples in the color palette for 2013 than we saw in 2012, the greenish hue of the crystal drop works perfectly with the majority of color combinations Fashionistas will find themselves wearing for the spring/summer 2013 season. Love that!

The petite size combined with the style and color of the “Crush Earrings” from Twisted Silver makes these new earrings the perfect go-to pair for the spring/summer 2013 season; and they may very well become your signature jewelry for the New Year! Fabulous!
