Hobo handbags for spring 2017 are an emerging trend which is not getting enough press! The hobo has been a quiet, emerging trend over the past few seasons which we noticed splashed all over the fall 2017 runways in New York last month. While those were fall runways, hobo handbags had already graced the spring 2017 runways back in September; so this trend is positioning itself to unseat the current satchel trend, shoulder bag trend, and mini bag trend.

Last month in New York, designers favored soft and slouchy handbags; many of which were hobo handbags. The hobo is a casual closet staple, although, it has not enjoyed it’s place in handbag society over the past decade. For spring 2017, designers are including at least one hobo handbag style in their warm weather line-up, this makes the hobo handbag a fabulous up-and-coming bag to invest in now.

Most of us have already invested in fabulous satchels over the past few years. The shoulder bag, or saddle bag trend, is a classic style which most have us already have in our closets. In addition, we seem to all have at least one mini bag. While mini bags are a hot trend, they have held this position for a few years now. The mini bag cannot last forever. It will eventually fall victim to the IT bag style curse of being “so last season.” If you want to invest your dollars wisely in a casual, everyday handbag, the hobo is your best best.

For investment purposes this season, satchels and shoulder bags are good bets to have staying power over the next few years. If you want to invest in something at the beginning of the bell curve, look for a soft and slouchy hobo handbag for spring 2017.

I love hobo handbags! There is something luxurious about a soft and slouchy hobo. In addition to a scrumptious hobo, a structured hobo has it’s place in every woman’s closet too. The structured hobo handbag is easy to wear casually, at the office, and out to dinner; while the slouchy hobo is more of a weekend bag. Have you seen the new Coach spring 2017 handbag collection? It is to-die-for! Coach has nailed it with their spring 2017 handbags. Every trend, or classic need, has been met in the collection. Pink trend? Check. Classic tote for spring or summer? Check. Red handbag trend? Check. Embellished bag trend? Check. Box bag trend? Check. Return of the hobo? Check, check, and oh yeah, check.

Embellished bags are the epitome of spring 2017 handbags. There is no trend greater than the embellished bag trend for spring. When I look at the Coach spring 2017 handbag collection, I see so many fabulous embellishments! There are heavily embellished bags such as this one. There are also subtle embellishments, such as on this bag. If you like bold, Coach has it, if you like understated, Coach has that too. How is a girl to choose?

My favorite bag from Coach’s spring 2017 handbag collection is this bag. It is perfect for wearing all season long. This bag will also fit into the upcoming fall 2017 trends. Love that!

For a trendy, of-the-season bag, I am eyeing this hot little number here. Isn’t it fabulous? I am in love! You can never go wrong with a Coach bag right? I have owned various bags by Coach since the early 1990s, and my love for the company has never waned.

Every Coach handbag I have owned has been such good quality. I love how they keep their prices moderate and reasonable; yet keep their quality high. A good value in handbags is hard to find these days! Coach is always a good value; plus they are so on top of the trends! Fashionable and practical = LOVE!

Have I mentioned the return of the hobo bag? Oh yes. It is slowly coming back into fashion. There were hobos and slouchy bags on the fall 2017 runways. This means investing in a hobo bag now, such as this fabulous one, is getting ahead of the curve. There is nothing like beating a trend, and being on the cutting edge of fashion.

While we saw box bags come into fashion last year, they are slowing coming to the top of the handbag trend scale. Box bags are being shown for both evening and daytime. They are a hot IT bag look right now. Coach has a beautiful one for spring right here. I love the embellishments on it. So pretty!

Mini bags and cross body bags are not going anywhere for the spring 2017 season. Coach has so many pretty ones in their spring collection! My favorite cross body bag from the Coach spring 2017 handbags collection is this one right here. Isn’t it fabulous!

You might be wondering, “Did I read that right? Mini-bags for spring 2017?” Yup! You read that correctly. Mini bags didn’t actually go anywhere, they are still here and hot for spring 2017.

The runways for spring 2017 told a different story for spring. Designers opted for medium sized bags, small trunk bags, and duffel bags. While the mini bag did grace the runways, it did not dominant the runways like the more practical, medium handbag did. It was most popular on the Paris runways, and when Paris speaks, store buyers listen, and consumers covet. So, we have the mini-bag for spring 2017 as the hottest handbag trend of the season. Just like that!

It is possible you already own a fabulous mini-bag; after all, this is not a new trend. In fact, there is nothing “groundbreaking” about it. Chances are, you have more then one mini-bag in your closet. If so, then you are all set! If not, then now is the time to add at least one mini-bag to your handbag collection.

While mini-bags are not practical for everyday use by those of us with children, they do come in handy for a girl’s night out, date night, or to keep in a work tote for lunch break. No-one wants to lug around their work tote during lunch break. A mini-bag can be pulled out of a bulky tote and offer a nice, light load while on break. Love that!

Since another hot trend for spring 2017 happens to be neutrals, this makes shopping for a mini-bag simple. Look for a mini-bag in a neutral tone you know you will wear often. Personally, I reach for black first, but a nice caramel, light beige, grey, or white will also work well for the warm weather season.
