Fall manicure idea sparkling violet

Fall manicure idea: violet nail polish / sparkling clear nail polish /

Isn’t this fall manicure idea fun?! I love this dark violet with red undertones from Hermes for the fall season. In addition, I have been having fun with this sparkling clear nail polish from the Hermes spring/summer collection. I have been using it as a topcoat over every color I have been painting my nails with, and it is so much fun!

This sparkling nail polish, although not an official topcoat, works perfectly as a topcoat. Since it is an additional layer of polish, it also helps keep the polish chip free. Love that!

I feel like this fall manicure can also translate into the upcoming holiday season. So, if you want to save a little money for something on your holiday wish list, this violet-red nail polish can be worn now through the holiday season and topped off with this sparkling nail polish! Love!

Van Cleef & Arpels Previous Oud edp review

Pictured: Van Cleef & Arpels Precious Oud edp / pink nail polish /

Is there anything more luxurious and mysterious than oud? I think not! There are several oud-based fragrances available, but Precious Oud edp from Van Cleef & Arpels wins the oud competition; if there is one.

As with all Van Cleef & Arpels fragrances, the notes smell fresh and rich. I have had this bottle for several years, which is why it is not full, and despite being a few years old, it still smells as fresh as the day I purchased it. Van Cleef & Arpels uses quality ingredients resulting in a clean, smooth, and ideal fragrance experience. Love that!

Top notes: Bergamot, Pink Pepper

Middle Notes: Jasmine, Incense, Tuberose

Base notes: Pachouli, Oud, Vetiver, Sandalwood, Ambergris

I love the warm and spicy fragrance experience from Percious Oud edp. It is perfect for the fall, winter, and spring seasons. It can also be worn on cooler summer days when the fog rolls in. Love!

So, if you are looking for a new fragrance for fall, this timeless scent is perfect! Five out of five stars!

Jo Malone Raspberry Ripple cologne review

pictured: Jo Malone Raspberry Ripple cologne 1 oz. / dark green nail polish / nail polish top coat /

Who can resist a fragrance bottle with a pink bow? I can’t! How cute is this bottle? When Raspberry Ripple by Jo Malone was introduced a couple months ago, I was instantly intrigued. A fragrance based on raspberries? A cute little bow? Yes please!

I decided to purchase a bottle of the 1oz Raspberry Ripple cologne by Jo Malone and give it a whirl. After all, fruity scents are fabulous during the summer months, and summer does not really end until early October in the San Francisco Bay Area anyway.

What a fun cologne! Upon first spray, you can instantly detect the redcurrant and after a couple of minutes, the fragrance settles into a fruity scent with a smooth undertone. Love!

Jo Malone typically encourages fragrance layering. Although I tested Raspberry Ripple alone, it also seems to blend well when sprayed over a vanilla or coconut body cream or edp. I haven’t tried layering it with another Jo Malone fragrance, but if I get the chance, I will let you know.

Top notes: redcurrant, blackcurrant

Middle/Heart notes: raspberry

Base notes: white musk

I definitely enjoy Jo Malone Raspberry Ripple cologne, and highly recommend it to anyone who loves a fruity fragrance. If you are looking for a fruity gourmand, you can layer it with a simple gourmand scent such as vanilla. For a fruity floral, try layering it with a simple rose based scent. Love!

Thanks for stopping by, and let me know on social media if you plan to, or have already layered Raspberry Ripple!
