An evening of Les Miz at Broadway San Jose

Les Miz was here! Broadway San Jose hosted Les Misérables for one week and it was so nice to see it again after, gasp, thirty years! The last time I saw it was when it was at the Curran in San Francisco in the early 1990s. Not that I’m dating myself, but I digress. . .

Anyhoo. . .I was fortunate enough to be able to attend a portion of the load-in when the crew was building the set. It was fun to see the set go up and come alive! You can see a bit of the process in the photo above.

It’s amazing how much work goes into traveling Broadway shows. They have dozens of semi-trucks filled with the set, costumes and more. The crew travels with over a hundred people from place to place for one or two weeks at a time. They build the set in a day and take it down in a day, then they are off and away!

It’s amazing how mobile and efficient they are! We are so fortunate to have Broadway San Jose and their incredible show line-up right here in the south bay. In case you missed Les Miz, be sure to check out the upcoming shows and next season’s line up. Get the shows on your calendar so you don’t miss out!

What I wore to Les Miz:

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you see a show soon!

*I was gifted two tickets to Les Miz by Broadway San Jose in order to attend the Load-in. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
