Quick trip to Harrisburg

For Memorial Day weekend, we took a quick trip to Harrisburg. As the capitol of Pennsylvania, it has arts and of course, government buildings. It was fun to explore this time, since our last trip was a day trip and we were not able to see very much.

I loved seeing all the historical buildings, and if you ever head over to Harrisburg, make sure you get a tour of the capitol! It was dedicated in 1906 by Roosevelt. The architecture, and interior decor, are absolutely stunning.

Since it was a holiday, we missed out on the museum, but I know I will be back again later this summer, so hopefully I can see it then. If you are in the Harrisburg area, I highly recommend enjoying a meal at the Sturges Speakeasy. They have an amazing menu, the service is friendly and helpful, and the patrons are also friendly and chill. We really loved it! I enjoyed the salmon, and my daughter enjoyed the Noble Experiment which was a sandwich with blackened chicken, pickled red cabbage, and brie (which she loved), all on focaccia. Loved it!

Well, it was a quick trip so that’s it! Thanks for stopping by!

XOXO
