Capsule Design Festival brings together local designers and artists

Capsule Design Festival took place Sunday, September 18, 2011 and brought together local designers and artists in an urban festival on the city streets of San Francisco’s Hayes Valley. The festival brought out a large crowd of fashion lovers, art fans and San Franciscans under the warm September sun from 11am to 6pm. Capsule Designer Festival featured over 130 designers and artists who showed amazing and unique designs; many of which were one-of-a-kind.

Festival goers were treated to artistic jewelry, clothing, glassware, wall art and more. There were even fabulous handbags designed by Eco Fashions and made from candy wrappers. LOVED the black and silver clutches!

The jewelry designers were amazing and attracted a large crowd. Linquist Jewelry was buzzing as shoppers got excited about the designers’ body chains and Compass Rose Design attracted shoppers as they entered the festival with their amazing recycled watch parts jewelry and vintage inspired designs.

In the middle of the festival, guests of the event could view Future Cities Lab’s “Trilux” being built; the temporary public art installation will open on September 20, 2011 at 5pm.

Capsule Design Festival takes place in both the spring and the fall. Stay tuned for the next event!
