Desigual showed their fall/winter 2015 collection at New York Fashion Week on Thursday, February 12, 2015 in The Theater at Lincoln Center. The collection included bright, geometric patterns, playful textures, and multicolored patterns reflective of cultures from around the globe. Monsieur Christian Lacroix’s Desigual studio created a collection for fall 2015 which embodied the brand’s motto “La Vida es Chula” which means “life is cool.” Many cultures come together in Monsieur Lacroix’s Desigual studio, therefore, the fall 2015 collection reflects these crossroads.

On Desigual’s fall 2015 runway we see reflections of folk art crafts, lush landscapes, works of art from around the globe, Northern European history, African art, and embroidery from around the world. The collection “embodies the multiplicity of a woman, and women everywhere.”

I love how the collection came together. The prints and color palette offer a playful taste of the worlds’ artistic culture, and how it can be expressed through sartorial means.

Tadashi Shoji showed his fall/winter 2015/2016 collection on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at The Salon, Lincoln Center. As someone who has been a huge fan of Tadashi Shoji for over twenty years, I was thrilled to be able to see his new collection in person. The fall 2015 collection Tadashi Shoji presented on the runway in New York was everything a fan of the designer would expect; and more.

The show started off with beautiful, knee-length dresses, and as the show progressed, hemlines grew longer, and dreamier, full ball gowns appeared. It was an effortless collection with incredible, flattering lines, and flowing, feminine silhouettes. There was intricate lace, layers of sheer, dreamy fabrications, and an eye catching color palette.

The colors on Tadashi Shoji’s fall 2015 runway featured chic black, black and white, sophisticated navy, vivid lavender, soft shades of purple, touches of gold, and bluish-green. It was a wonderland for the eyes, and inspiration for the fall. Pure genius.

Now, I just need to plan my fall and winter social calenders to include events which would be an ideal excuse for wearing one of these dresses. I am in love! What do you think of the collection?

Tadashi Shoji can be found online at Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus

Costello Tagliapietra showed their fall/winter 2015/2016 collection at New York Fashion Week on February 12, 2015 at The Pavillion in Lincoln Center. It was an incredible show featuring dark, traditional autumn hues on feminine fabrications mixed with menswear details. The entire collection was exquisite.

Costello Tagliapietra featured texture with soft silk, and warm wool, combined with heavy, menswear inspired footwear. There was a slightly retro vibe with wide leg trousers, tie-waist jackets, and school-girl jumpers.

I loved the texture, color palette, and jumpers. What do you think of the collection?
