Francesca Liberatore sent her spring/summer 2018 collection down the New York Fashion Week runway on September 10, 2017. Her spring 2018 collection was filled with fine lace, soft fabrications, flowing silhouettes, intricate details, and beautiful prints. Liberatore herself, hand drew two of the prints in her spring collection! Her prints took inspiration from time; both exploring it, and traveling through it. Love!

The color palette Liberatore introduced for spring included blue, yellow, darker greens, violet-blue, pinkish lilac, and neutral hues of grey and white. These colors fit into the hottest color trends for spring 2018 from New York. Grey, and white, are definitely the new black!

Yellow can be a challenging color to work with since it doesn’t always work with everyone’s skin tone. Liberatore found a way to make yellow soft, and easy to wear. By mixing it with fine lace, she turned yellow into a color we can all wear! Love that!

Since my favorite color is blue, I loved everything blue on the Francesca Liberatore spring 2018 NYFW runway. There were several blue dresses; I wish all of my photos came out! You can see a sample in this post of the beautiful blue menswear print Liberatore used on precisely feminine designs. It was the perfect mix!

I’m in love with how Liberatore made menswear feminine, and alluring. Her lace and prints are also divine. You can see the final walk, taken on my iPhone, below.

Asymmetrical lines at New York Fashion Week

wearing: silver oval earrings / Chanel lipstick / black draping asymmetrical dress (under $200!!) / bold silver cuff (on major sale!!) / Chanel fall nail polish / Givenchy bag / black and silver watch / silver booties (so comfortable!)

One of the biggest questions I have to answer every season when I go to fashion week is, ‘what do I wear at New York Fashion Week?’ There are several different directions one could go when choosing a New York Fashion Week outfit. Some people dress comfortably and blend into the crowd, while others wear a trend salad in the craziest way possible in the hopes that street style photographers will capture their image.  I’m closer to the comfort zone, then the pea-cocking zone (as dressing to photographed it referred to).

The clothing I buy for my New York Fashion Week outfits need to be pieces I know I will re-wear when in my daily life. I have needed a new little black dress for my closet for several months now. This prompted me to find a fabulous little black dress I could wear to fashion week, as well as keep in my closet for last minute dinners, theater events, and parties. A little black dress which is both comfortable and flattering is always the perfect wardrobe staple!

I was thrilled to find this little black dress. It has draped, asymmetrical lines which is an extremely hot trend for fall 2017. The fabric is a cotton jersey which feels like a soft tee-shirt but looks dressier then a tee. The draping hits in all the right spots; taking ten pounds off my body. I love clothing which makes me thinner then I am! Love!

Despite the fact that I was wearing black, famous street style photographer Denton Taylor snapped a few photos of my little black dress! It was so much fun! Who says you can’t get snapped by photographers while being practical in your fashion week outfit ideas?

These silver boots turned out to be really comfortable, and helped get me through a long day of shows. I did a lot of standing in lines, and walking to shows; these boots were made walking, and that’s just what they did! Love that!

This was my outfit for Saturday, which was my second day of shows at New York Fashion Week. I went to Taoray Wang, Runa Ray, Custo Barcelona, Banana Republic x Olivia Palermo, A Detacher, and Academy of Art. Between A Detacher and Acdemy of Art, I swung over to the rewardStyle Rooftop Part. It was so much fun seeing so many of my fellow bloggers; and many blogger friends! Here is a fun little video I took with Dawn from Fashion Should be Fun and Laura from Have Need Want. We are “Charlie’s Angels.” You can tell, right? haha

Stay tuned for more coverage from the New York Fashion Week shows. Spring 2018 is looking fabulous!

Taoray Wang spring 2018 New York Fashion Week September 9, 2017

Taoray Wang showed her spring/summer 2018 collection at New York Fashion Week to a packed house on September 9, 2017. The collection was a combination of classic chic styles, revved up with fringe details, ties, and sophisticated gathering. You cannot find anything more chic on the NYFW runways for spring. This collection will take you from the boardroom, to dinner at the hottest restaurant in town.

I loved the fringe, and the waist detailing on Taoray Wang’s spring collection. The high quality details, luxurious fabrications, and flattering cuts are what every woman dreams of for her closet. The fringe jacket is my must-have for spring 2018. What is yours?
