Happy Summer 2018! Now that summer is official, and not just a scheduled vacation on the school calendar, it is time to make sure we all have our summer wardrobes in order. It is really easy this season to get the most fabulous items for summer at my favorite one-stop-shop; Santana Row!

As you know, I am a Santana Row superfan. It is my favorite place to shop, eat, and play! There are good reasons why it is my favorite hang-out in the South Bay; it is full of fashionable and fabulous shops! I always know I can find something which will make me look like I just walked off the New York Fashion Week runway on the Row.

You might be familiar with several of my favorite haunts at Santana Row which include Kendra Scott, LOFT, H & M, Gucci, and Donald J Pliner; to name a few, but there are some new names in town! There are three new, fabulous retailers at Santana Row; and they have the perfect summer essentials for the hot weather season. Love!

Without further ado, here are my favorite summer essentials from the three newest retailers at Santana Row!

Baldwin

Baldwin has the best denim in town; um-do you see the denim wall of heaven?! It’s a-ma-zing! You will love finding the perfect pair of jeans at Baldwin for the summer season. In addition to denim, Baldwin has the best tee’s, denim skirts, comfortable sundresses, and more for summer. You could build your whole wardrobe here! Love!

To see everything in stock, please visit Baldwin on Santana Row or call 408-660-1196 for more info.

Everything But Water

Everything But Water is your one-stop beach or pool shop. They have flip flops, beautiful hats, and swimwear in every print and color imaginable. They have an entire blue wall! It’s swimwear heaven! They also have fabulous cover-ups you can wear over your suits. You will look like you just walked off the Miami Swim Week runway. Love that!

To see all the fabulous swimwear in stock, please visit Everything But Water at Santana Row or call 408-423-9259 for more info.

Aritzia

I’m so excited! Aritzia has opened a shop at Santana Row! This has been one of my favorite shops for years. I have a beanie I bought there years ago that I wear at fashion week every February. Their clothing is really good quality, and can withstand the test of time. This is good news since summer clothing can take a beating. You know anything you buy at Aritzia will sustain sun, salt water, and repeated washings. They have a large selection of shorts in stock as well as tank tops, tee’s, and fashionable hats. It’s the perfect summer go-to spot!

I can’t wait to snap up all my summer essentials from Santana Row. When you stop by, be sure to check out these three new retailers to find everything you need for summer! While you’re there, try out EMC Seafood & Raw Bar, as well as Ozumo for lunch or dinner. They are both my new obsessions! Yum!

Summer 2018 fitness routine

addidas IT shoes

Summer starts tomorrow! So I am switching up my fitness routine for the summer season. What I love about the summer season is that I have more free time to get in really good workouts. It is also a time when I can include my kids in my fitness routine. Love that!

My goal this summer is to work off ten pounds. I hope to lose a pound a week; I know I can do it! I use MyFitnessPal to track my workouts and caloric intake. Everytime I use it, it works like a charm! It’s an easy numbers game; stick to the calorie count, workout, and voila! A pound a week will vanish. Love it!

Here is my summer fitness routine:

Monday: Cardio and weights, 60 minutes (interval and strength)

Tuesday: Spin class with my daughters (cardio)

Wednesday: BodyCombat class (cardio)

Thursday: The Drop (interval and strength class)

Friday: Spin class with my daughters (cardio)

Saturday: Family hike or swimming laps with the kids (easy cardio)

Sunday: rest day

It is important to mix up cardio, interval training, and strength training. By mixing together different workout types, it works differing muscles groups, enabling a good overall workout routine.

I’m excited about my summer fitness routine because I have the time to mix together the right types of workouts into my schedule.

What are you doing this summer for fitness? Which workouts are your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by!

Summer go-to sundress

pictured: dangle hoop earrings / lipstick / black print sundress (under $25!!) / black leather and rose gold watch / Chanel summer nail polish / Chloe bag / black wedge espadrilles (priced under $100 and so comfy!)

So before we start, I would like to apologize for the eye sore that is my arm. Apparently I don’t know how to properly apply sunscreen, and as a result, I have been blessed with a farmers tan on my arms. Please, don’t laugh too hard. Well, OK, go ahead; it is pretty funny!

Now that summer vacation has started, my fabulous friend Dawn from FashionShouldBeFun.com met me for lunch and some strolling on Santana Row. We found a fabulous wall, which was recently repainted, and snapped some photos before embarking on eating and shopping. Isn’t this new wall cool! I love the artwork. This door used to be black, so now that it is full of color, it really looks amazing; although less Mediterranean then it did before.

After we snapped some pictures, we enjoyed lunch at the sort-of new EMC Seafood Bar which is located near the fountain at Santana Row. It is SO GOOD! We loved the sushi, and I have to tell you, the clam chowder was fab-u-lous! Love!

We popped into LOFT and saw so many cute summer outfits; I need to go back when I have more time and try some things on. We also checked out all the cute suits at Everything But Water. They have a whole wall of blue suits! It is truly swimsuit heaven. There were also several fabulous summer essentials at Arizia and Baldwin; I need to go back to those shops too! So many cute summer items!!

This sundress was perfect for a day on the Row, can you believe it is under $25! It is really comfortable; and perfect for temperatures over 80. To make the dress look even better, I just need to even out my horrendous tan lines. Yikes!!

Do you have any tips for evening out bad tan lines?
