Viva Magenta! How fun is the color of the year for 2023!? Love! I am really happy my vintage wool scarf is the color of 2023, especially since I purchased it in 1999! A scarf is a really easy way to add a pop of color to any winter look. If you are looking for a scarf, I love this one under $100. It’s a good quality scarf as I have the same one in green, blue, and light pink. You will love it!

My winter 2023 capsule wardrobe is similar to my fall and holiday capsule wardrobes; with the exception of the pop of color. Since winter is the first season in January, I wanted my color accent to be Viva Magenta; the color of 2023!

The styles from the fall and holiday seasons have remained the same. We are looking at blazers with jeans, power suits for the office or dressier occasions, wide or flare jeans, and a general nod to the trends from the turn of the century.

It is cold this year! To top things off, we are finally getting our normal weather; which we have not had in several years. This means tons of rain, cold weather, and the need for practical yet fashionable footwear.

As long as things are clear in the sky, these golden boots are perfect for adding some spice to casual outfits. Of course, my standby lug sole boots are great for inclement weather. I do have snow boots, but I use those more when I travel to snow. Although, I have worn them locally when the weather is really cold and wet, so don’t rule out the snow boots in California!

As you know, the color of 2023 is Viva Magenta. I found these high-top sneakers in a shade close to magenta. Why not be comfy and fabulous at the same time? Love that!

My faux fur boots from last year are still in like-new condition and keep my feet warm on cold winter days. I reach for them several times per week. You can still snap up a pair in black, ivory or neutral. Love! I have an ivory pair too!

Classic shoulder bags, and classic handbags in general, are all the rage! Mini, small and medium sized bags are what’s hot on the street this holiday season; and also as we move into the winter season.

Logo bags are over, and bags which are obvious with what they are, are also over. It’s not cool in 2023 to shout out how expensive your bag is, or wear loud, obnoxious handbags. That’s so gauche. As we move into 2023, it’s all about beautiful handbags made from high quality materials which can last a lifetime, such as the bags shown above. Love that!

As you know, skinny jeans are done. Look for wide leg jeans and flares as we move into the new year. This pair is nicely priced under $100 and fits perfectly. Love that!
