Shoe capsule wardrobe spring 2023

spring 2023 shoe capsule wardrobe

Shoe capsule wardrobe spring 2023 from left: loafer mules / high top sneakers / woven slides / scalloped ballet flats /

My spring 2023 shoe capsule wardrobe is slim this year, because to be frank, it is still very cold outside! I am wearing rain boots and sneakers more than anything else these days with all of this rainfall and unseasonably cold weather. That being said, I do have spring shoes in my archives which are both classic and on trend for the spring 2023 season.

I am sure you know about investment shopping and investment dressing. These loafer mules, and ballet flats, are investment pieces I purchased many years ago. They are always in style, and this year, the ballet flats are a hot trend. Love that! If you haven’t invested in a good pair of loafer mules or ballet flats, I highly recommend finding a beautiful pair to invest in this season. You will find yourself reaching for them year after year; then you won’t need to buy new shoes every year since you will already have a classic pair in your closet. While you may spend more in the short run on an investment pair of shoes, you end up saving money in the long run by not needing to replace them every year.

In addition to loafer mules and ballet flats, slides are still a hot trend as we move into both spring and summer, as well as street sneakers. While disco platform pumps are also a hot trend, you won’t be seeing me in those. I need to be closer to earth.

As you shop for spring, look for square toes too. The square toe is a huge trend in footwear right now, and you will see it a lot in the coming seasons.

These street sneakers are super fun since they are in the color of 2023. The retro high-top style is also a fun vibe which works well with the 1980s and 1990s influence we are seeing in fashion right now.

Hopefully the rain tapers off, so I can wear all these shoes and not get wet! haha
