If you are like me, you look for some free time in your schedule to dive into a book! As a Mom, I am always driving my kids to activities, and I spend time waiting for them while they are there. Sometimes, I can’t watch my kids at their activity because it is in another room and us parents are left in a waiting room. This is the perfect time to dive into a book!
One of my favorite author’s is Philippa Gregory. I love everything she writes. The Last Tudor is the book I am currently reading, and I love it! If you love historical fiction, this is a fabulous book which dives into the lives of Queen Jane, Lady Katherine, and Lady Mary. Gregory’s writing is captivating. I feel like I am right there in Tower of London with Lady Katherine while Queen Elizabeth held her after she had a secret wedding. I feel horrible for her during her imprisonment and wish I could talk to Queen Elizabeth for her!
If you haven’t already, read this book; or any of Gregory’s Tudor novels. She really makes the era come alive! I can’t wait to dive into her Order of Darkness series. It looks just as amazing!
I haven’t started the other books yet, but will begin reading them soon. They sound like they offer exciting plots, and the authors have great reviews.
The spring season is a great time to read. I love sitting outside and diving into a good book. What are you reading right now? Or hoping to read soon?
I have heard SO many good things about The Woman on the Orient Express! I need to read it soon. Great picks overall, I loved “It Girls.” We read it in my book club recently and it stirred up much discussion!
