Meskita showed her fall/winter 2014/2015 collection at New York Fashion Week on Sunday, February 9, 2014 and received a standing ovation at the end of the show; a rare sight at fashion week! The models pranced down the runway in slick long ponytails wearing eye catching, wearable designs in bold shades of blue, red, fuchsia, classic black and white. The silhouettes offered both pencil and full skirts belted for an edgy yet ladylike vibe.

I had the honor of interviewing Meskita backstage after the show. She is an incredible inspiration to anyone interested in becoming a designer and/or starting a business in general. She learned how to sew, design, cut patterns and source fabric by the age of fifteen. Her Grandmother was her inspiration and continues to be a valuable source of inspiration for her. Her grandmother was a business woman and taught Meskita how to turn her design talents into a business. Meskita firmly believes a garment should be beautiful inside and out and takes special care to ensure the high quality of her collection not only in craftsmanship but in design.

Georgine sent her fall/winter 2014/2015 collection down the New York Fashion Week runway on Sunday, February 9, 2014 and took my breath away. The stunning collection was filled with beautiful shades of blue, purple, berry, classic black and sparkling silver sequins. The prints, patterns and textures offered a taste of fresh luxury unmatched on the New York runways.

There was a classic, elegant vintage vibe in Georgine’s collection which took onlookers back to an era when women dressed to impress. The ladylike silhouettes, cheerful fall color palettes and sophisticated designs showed a return to effortless chic for fall.

I was blown away by the beautiful blue print dress in the top photo and the blue print pants in the third photo. Must-have’s on my fall wish list! There is a press video from IMG Fashion below, which looks on the Georgine fall/winter 2014/2015 runway were your favorite’s?

Pantone’s fall 2014 color report is here! Sangria is the beautiful color we saw on Monique Lhuilier’s runway which appeared to be a fuchsia hue. Rebcca Minkoff showed multiple pieces in Royal Blue and Bright Cobalt. Aurora Red is the fabulous, classic red hue we saw on almost every runway in New York! Designers loved combining the blue and purple hues from this report together in beautiful prints and plaids. It is amazing how dominant these top ten colors were on the New York runways!

Which color or colors are you looking forward to for fall? I already know I want as much purple and blue as possible! The Royal Blue coat on Rebecca Minkoff’s runway is a must-have for me!
