Piper’s Perfumery is a new fragrance line which just launched in September 2014. “Eye Candy” is a sweet, inviting scent which is just as irresistible as your favorite jelly beans or ice cream. This fruity gourmand fragrance is ideal for moderate to cool weather and will take you from fall into winter and back into spring with ease.

As a gourmand fan, I love the candy sweet scent which is smooth, without being sticky.

Top Notes: Sweet Strawberry, Raspberry

Middle Notes: Pink Macaroon, Sugar Cane, Cotton Candy

Base Notes: Whipped Vanilla Bean

Fall sweater dress

Fall is the perfect season for wearing a sweater dress. Sweater dresses are ideal in the autumn season since they offer a little bit more warmth than flat fabrics. I originally purchased this Rebecca Minkoff sweater dress in August to bring to New York for fashion week. It was in my suitcase and I could not wait to wear it to Lincoln Center to watch the shows. Unfortunately, the weather in New York was over 90 degrees with humidity to match. This was NOT sweater dress weather. <sigh>

Alas, the sweater dress came home with me unworn. Since my return from New York, I have been staring at this sweater dress in my closet, begging to be worn! Thankfully, after a month of 80 and 90 degree weather, we had a little bit of fall weather over the weekend. This meant I was able to finally wear my new sweater dress on Sunday! Yay!

Breast Cancer Awareness products

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and as someone who has lost a loved one to breast cancer, and has watched a few freidns fight the war against breast cancer and win, this is a cause near and dear to my heart.

There are so many things we can do to help fight breast cancer.

1) We can help by donating to breast cancer charity organizations such as the American Cancer Society, The National Breast Cancer Coalition, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Unite for Her.

2) We can wear pink during the month of October in order to help raise awareness about breast cancer.

3) We can help raise money for the fight against breast cancer is by purchasing products, we may already need in our life, which give a portion, or all, of their proceeds to a breast cancer charity.

4) We can volunteer our time with organizations such as the American Cancer Society and help those who are battling, or recovering from the disease.

5) We can take charge of our own personal health and remind those around us who staying fit, eating healthy and eliminating or limiting alcohol intake can drastically reduce our chances of ending up with breast cancer; or any type of cancer. Side benefit, this type of lifestyle helps you heart and entire body too! Love that!
