Perforated leather has a been a runway trend for the past few seasons. As some designers channel 1980’s and early 1990’s looks, perforated leather has made appearance on runways in New York, Milan, Paris and London. For spring 2015, designers have taken the trend and moved forward with it as trend setters on the street have demanded more of the retro style.

Perforated leather gives off a very 1980’s Pop vibe when shown on skirts, jackets, vests, pants and shirts. When shown on handbags and shoes, perforated leather offers a fresh and modern take on warm weather fashion. Although clothing and accessories in perforated leather come from the same designer’s studios, they offer different vibe’s.

When wearing perforated leather this spring season, pick one perforated piece and style your look around it. If you wear two or more perforated pieces at the same time, it will be a fashion fail. Don’t want that do we!!! Yikes!

Which vibe are you? Are you into the 1908’s Pop look or are you going for more of a fresh and modern look this upcoming spring 2015 season? When you answer that question, you will know which type of perforated leather piece to shop for this spring season. Personally, I already did the 1980’s Pop look in the 1980’s, so I will be going for a more modern look with perforated shoes. I just need to choose the perfect pair!

I found a few fabulous perforated leather pieces around the web for spring 2015. These pieces are beautiful and perfectly on-trend for spring. I hope you love them!

Chanel Tenderly nail polish for spring 2015

Pictured: Chanel Tenderly nail polish for spring 2015. Photo taken during morning golden hour. Two coats color, one base coat, no top coat.

Chanel Tenderly is a fabulous, cool purple hue from Chanel’s spring 2015 beauty collection “Reverie Parisienne.” This pretty color is on the darker side of the lavender family making it a great nail polish for transitioning from winter into spring. Love that!

With all the shades of blue in the spring 2015 color palette, a purple hue is an ideal nail polish color to contrast with, yet play well with, the spring seasons’ color palette. Personally, I love blue and purple together!

I tested out Chanel Tenderly nail polish for spring 2015 with two coats of color, one base coat, and no top coat. The color was long lasting and did not chip until day seven! Love that! Chanel Tenderly nail polish offers a high shine finish which applies like a cream nail polish. It does not look streaky or allow any gaps after the second coat. Perfection.

It will be difficult for me to choose between painting my nails with Tenderly or Paradisio this spring season. I love them both so much!

Snow vacation in Lake Tahoe

Wearing: Coat: Ellen Tracy  (also in brown and petite!) / Lipstick: Tom Ford in nubile / Scarf: Armani (sold out, also love this one) / Gloves: REI (old, also love this pair) / Jeans: Gap / Boots: Sorel (sold out, similar style here)

One of the fabulous things about living in the San Francisco Bay Area is the close proximity to Lake Tahoe. I love going to Lake Tahoe in the summer to enjoy the lake, nature and for outdoor activities. I also enjoy going to Lake Tahoe in the winter in order to play in the snow, sled and snowboard.

We recently returned from a quick family trip to the snow in Lake Tahoe, south shore. The snow pack was not very good, so we only hit the slopes for one day. Although there were hardly any lifts open, my kids had a blast and loved riding on the gondola up the mountain. For the remainder of our trip we let the kids play in the snow and we went sledding. The snow was perfect for sledding and the kids had so much fun sledding down the hill for HOURS! I drank a lot of hot cocoa during the sledding escapade 🙂

I was extremely thankful that the kids didn’t mind the skiing conditions and had a blast sledding and playing in the snow. Since I didn’t get to snowboard very much, I was thankful for my very warm and cozy coat; as well as hot cocoa!

Have you gone up to the mountains yet this ski season? If so, did you find good snow for skiing? If so, where did you go?!?!
