Look by Celebrity Makeup Artist Molly R. Stern

FACE: Clean and photo-ready skin

Stern first applied Caudalie Eau De Beaute Elixer, ($49) to invigorate Witherspoon’s skin.
Next, she massaged RéVive Serum Pressé Illuminating Skin Firmer, ($310) to give her complexion a natural, luminous and smooth base. She lightly applied RèVive Moisturizing Renewal Cream Retexturizing Hydrator, ($195) for added hydration.
Stern then applied NEW Laura Mercier Silk Crème Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation in Cream Ivory, ($48, Debuts in April 2015) to ensure Witherspoon’s complexion looked “clean and bright.”
Using Kjaer Weis Cream Blush in Abundance, ($56), Stern lightly contoured Witherspoon’s cheeks to accentuate the colour.
She then added an intense flush to the apples of Witherspoon’s cheeks, giving her the look of “vibrant heat,” by applying Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Blaze, ($25) topped with Kevyn Aucoin The Pure Powder Glow in Fira – Mango, ($37).

EYES: Golden wash of colour

Stern’s inspiration for Witherspoon’s eye look was a “golden wash of colour” on the lids, with a smoky look underneath the lash line. Her goal was for the actress’ eyes to look defined and sultry.
She first created a base using Laura Mercier Baked Eye Colour in Black Karat, ($24). She then smudged Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Gilded Gold, ($28) on Witherspoon’s upper lids, “creating a brilliant sheen to compliment her sterling silver gown.”
Then, she roughly lined the upper and lower lash lines using Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liner in Noir, ($24).
Lastly, Stern curled Witherspoon’s lashes with the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler, ($29), and coated her lashes twice using Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Supreme Mascara, ($25).

LIPS: Wine-stained lips

To complete the look, Stern created wine-stained lips by applying Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Merlot, $27 topped off with a gold gloss for a luminous sheen.
After that, Witherspoon “left for the red carpet glistening!”

Zinke Swimsuit Cover-up for Resort 2015

Over the past month it has been really cold! That is why this is the perfect time of year to plan a resort or cruise getaway. Since it is not quite spring, and summer was several months ago, packing for a resort getaway could be a problem! Thankfully the resort 2015 season is in full swing and Zinke has a fabulous collection of swimwear and cover-ups to make that warm weather getaway a fun and fabulous trip out of the cold and into the warm!

I absolutely adore this swimsuit cover-up by Zinke. I picked it out back in September when I was at fashion week in New York and got a sneak peek at Zinke’s resort 2015 collection. The cut-out is cute and offers a peek at a one-piece swimsuit. It is also on trend; making this cover-up ideal for walking from the beach or pool into a shop or restaurant without feeling half-dressed. Love that!

These pictures were taken when the wind was out of control! My hat kept blowing off and the skirt on my Zinke cover-up was blowing all over the place. I was afraid the cover-up would blow-up from the wind but it was great at only ballooning and not revealing what was underneath. In short, it kept me modest and covered-up! I am looking forward to wearing my Zinke cover-up at summer pool parties and future pool/beach vacations.

Opi Glitter Nail Lacquer in So Elegant

I recently ran a loop giveaway on Instagram where I asked participants which brand of nail polish was their favorite. The overwhelming response was OPI! I was intrigued since I had never actually tried OPI. So I decided to check out OPI and see why it seems to be the overwhelming favorite!

I have always wanted to test out a glittering top coat. Since I purchased a few bottles of OPI before the New Year, OPI Glitter Nail Lacquer in So Elegant seemed timely and appropriate for the occasion. I was right! OPI Glitter Nail Lacquer in So Elegant was a sparkling and festive top coat nail polish. I loved how it looked over the light metallic hue of Chanel Paradisio. It seemed to be the perfect, and “So Elegant” contrast that the sparkling top coat needed to shine.

It was fun wearing OPI Glitter Nail Lacquer in So Elegant for about one week and I was thrilled that it did not chip at all! Alas, after the New Year, it was time to change to a more subdue color so I took off OPI Glitter Nail Lacquer in So Elegant. This nail polish was so strong, that it took four cotton squares and a LOT of nail polish remover to take it off my nails. I give OPI Glitter Nail Lacquer in So Elegant props for being chip-free, strong and long lasting, my only complaint was that it was a lot of work to remove it. In OPI’s defense, this may have been due to the fact that it is difficult to get nail polish remover around and under the big chunks of glitter found in OPI Glitter Nail Lacquer in So Elegant.

I am looking forward to using OPI Glitter Nail Lacquer in So Elegant again whenever I need festive nails for an event or party. It should be fun to layer over pastels and brighter colors as the year heads into summer.
