Vivienne Hu showed her fall / winter 2015 / 2016 collection at New York Fashion Week on Sunday February 15, 2015 in The Pavilion at Lincoln Center. Her collection featured soft autumn hues, asymmetrical lines, texture, and soft fabrications.
Vivienne Hu’s coat collection featured on her runway looks were easily some of the best coats shown during New York Fashion Week. During Vivienne Hu’s runway show, her coats were show stoppers. There were beautiful quilted coats, fur trimmed coats, sleeveless coats, capes, and edgy overcoats. Beneath the coats were sleek silhouettes which fused together uptown sophistication and downtown rock n’ roll. Love it!

Last winter, Chanel repromoted four nail polish colors which had been huge hits in previous seasons. Chanel’s sweet peachy nail polish color, Peche Nagree, from Spring 2011, was one of the four hues repromoted and it is ideal for the spring season.
Chanel Peche Nagree nail polish is a soft peachy hue which is classic and easy to wear daily. If you are looking for a timeless nail polish shade, this is it! Peche Nagree has a pale orange and pink blend which offers color on the nails; without competing with jewelry or apparel. It fades into the background; an ideal color for wearing prints and mixing bright hues this spring season.
I tested out Chanel Peche Nagree nail polish with two coats of color, one base coat, and no top coat. The nail polish lasted a bit longer than most Chanel nail polishes; it lasted eight days! Love that!
Chanel Peche Nagree nail polish can be found online here, and here.
Flat sandals for spring 2015 are making a big splash this season! As fashion trends toward flats rather than heels, flat sandals for the spring season are offing many options which are on trend. Here are the trends to look for this spring 2015 season in flat sandals:
Gladiator: Gladiator sandals are back. They are being shown in both short and long versions which reach up towards the knee. Gladiator sandals are being shown mainly in neutral hues, pale metallics, and soft whites. Look for ties, wraps, and anything which transports you to ancient Greece.
Denim: Denim shoes are an emerging trend for spring. As denim quietly appears on more than just apparel, shoes are moving to the forefront of fashion as an easy way to rock the denim trend for spring on a day when temperatures are too warm for a pair of jeans. Look for denim sandals with cut outs, ankle tie’s, and in gladiator styles. The color should be a medium “wash” which can easily be worn in the spring and summer seasons.
Flatforms: The flatform is showing no sign of slowing down for the spring season. Look for lug soles, rubber soles, cork soles, and high espadrille styles. Flatforms offer ankle straps and simple styles such as one thick strap across the foot. Look for simple, no-fuss silhouettes in neutral colors which can easily be worn this spring, into summer, and into early fall. And yes, you can wear socks them; after all, designers showed flatforms with socks for fall 2015, so this is a trend worth investing in if you love it!
Birkenstocksand copy-cats: Birkenstocks are still hot for spring 2015 as they are the most authentic way to rock the 1970’s trend in a flat sandal. Not only are Birkenstock sandals a hot trend, many designers have copied the style and are showing their own Birkenstock “inspired” styles for the spring season. Of course, since the original is moderately priced, there really is no reason to go with a copy cat. Be original, wear the original.
I found a few fabulous flat sandal styles around the web and assembled them into the shopping widget below. I hope you love them! Happy shopping, and stay fabulous 😉
