One of my favorite fragrance notes is vanilla. So, when I first heard of LaVanila fragrances, I immediately purchased and reviewed their beautiful Vanilla Coconut fragrance for summer. After falling in love with Vanilla Coconut, I was hooked on the entire collection and had to try LaVanila Vanilla Grapefruit!

Vanilla Grapefruit is my second fragrance from the LaVanila collection. It has a beautiful fruity gourmand scent which is both refreshingly crisp, and warm. Love that!

LaVanila Vanilla Grapefruit eau de parfum offers a fruity gourmand combination of fragrance notes including Pink Grapefruit, Lime, Bergamot, Orange, Cedarwood, and Madagascar Vanilla.

I love the idea of natural perfume. Not only is the scent pure, real, and not from a lab, it does not leave potentially harmful chemicals on your skin which could be absorbed into your system.

LaVanila Vanilla Grapefruit edp is long lasting. The fragrance started off with a fruity zing laced in vanilla. As the day wore on, the vanilla lay softly in the background as different fruit notes cycled through detection. At the end of the day, there was a slight fruit scent laced in a woody vanilla base. Perfect fragrance experience for any weather; warm or cold. Love that!

Mary Janes are a hot trend in shoes for the fall 2015 season. This school-girl shoe style was spotted on the runways in New York, Milan, Paris, and London for autumn 2015, and it has taken over store shelves for fall!

The Mary Jane is a classic shoe style. Chances are you owned a pair as a child, and perhaps a pair or two as an adult. You may recall when Sarah Jessica Parker once referenced a popular pair of Mary Janes as her character “Carrie” on famed television show “Sex and the City;” “Manolo Blahnik Mary Janes! I thought these were an urban legend!” This was in reference to then IT shoe, the Manolo Blahnik Mary Janes; now considered a classic closet staple.

The color palette for Mary Janes this season includes classic black, silver, shades of pink, shades of red, and color blocking. Fabrications include suede, patent leather, faux leather, and regular leather.

The Mary Jane is being worn with flare jeans (high heeled of course), midi skirts, and a-line mini skirts. The block heeled version of the Mary Jane compliments the current 70’s trend we are seeing in fall fashion.

I have invested in two pairs of Mary Janes for the fall season. I will be packing them in my suitcase for my upcoming trip to New York for fashion week. This red pair, and this black pair.

The Mary Jane is a comfortable shoe style for walking and standing. I have found the ankle strap holds the shoe in place, and the block heels offer sturdiness, which lends itself well to walking, and standing, for long periods of time. They are a great alternative to traditional pumps!
