The Hermes spring summer 2025 collection is finally here! Since we are well into May, I was afraid Hermes wasn’t going to release any new colors for the warm weather season, but thankfully, they did! The new Hermes nail polish collection consists of six limited edition colors by Gregoris Pyrpylis, the Creative Director of Hermes Beauty. The collection is a collection of “shimmering halftone shades that speaks of a moment suspended in time, between the gentleness of spring and the onset of a scorching summer.” Perhaps this is why the collection was released in May!

I absolutely love this new collection from Hermes. The colors are vibrant and absolutely perfect. As you know, I tend to shy away from orange, but when Hermes does Orange, I fall in love. Orange Tulip is a beautiful, soft orange with slight blue undertones which makes it beautiful and easy to wear on a daily basis. Love that!

If you are looking for a classic nail polish hue you can easily wear to the office, Hermes Rose Papillon Irise is perfect. It is also a pink nail polish in stock! Which is hard to find right now since pink nail polish is flying off store shelves. You will absolutely love this one, Rose Papillon Irise is the perfect pink nail polish to invest in for the year, and beyond. It is a classic hue as well as a hot trend right now!

So, quickly I want to talk about Hermes Blanc Orage Irise. This is obviously a clear nail polish with slight sparkle. It feels more like a top coat to me. I tried to put it on alone and it just looked clear, so I went ahead and tried it as a top coat. It does not really show in my photos, but there is a little sparkle on top of the Hermes Jaune Pollen nail polish pictured above. I plan to use it this summer as a top coat, even though I think it is meant to be a clear polish.

I love all of these nail polish colors from Hermes for the summer 2025 season, but my two favorites at Hermes Iris Violetta and Hermes Vert Aqua. Love!

National High Heels Day 2025

Happy National High Heels Day! Today is a fun day when we can celebrate our high heels! This is also an excuse to wear those high heels sitting in our closets collecting dust. Love that!

While kitten heels are taking over the footwear world at the moment, high heels are still relevant and timeless. After all, how else can be make our legs looks longer, and appear taller than we are? That’s right! High heels!

This pair of high heels I am featuring in this post, are my current obsession. They have arch support and are easy to stand and walk in all day long. This is important in case we wear high heels to the office, or for a long event. Comfort and high heels in the same breath? Yes please!

So, in order to celebrate National High Heels Day, put on your favorite high heels and rock them all day long! This is also a fabulous day to shop for a new pair of high heels to add to your collection. After all, a girl can never have enough shoes. Love that!

Celebrating ten years of handbag reviews

Handbags! You know I love them, and so do you! As someone who has written about handbags since before the blog, it was only natural, ten years ago, to add a handbag review section to Bay Area Fashionista! It really doesn’t seem like that long ago when I started my official reviews; as opposed to my handbag mentions and articles about specific handbags.

The handbag reviews have been fun because they give a specific post to each bag, instead of having to hunt through the blog for a paragraph here or there with a mini review. All the information you need a about a specific handbag is all wrapped up in the review article. Love that!

This fabulous bucket bag, pictured above, is my most recent review. I really love this handbag and find myself wearing it often. The studded details add a little edge and interest to the overall style of the bag. It is also quite practical and fits everything I need in a day. Love!

Talking about handbags I love. . .

One of my favorite handbags of all time is my Givenchy Antigona. I own two! After falling in love with my black one, I indulged and invested in a pale blue Antigona. The black gets the most wear, and the pale blue one gets worn and babied a little more due to the light color. I love them both and also love the fact that the Givenchy Antigona has become a classic handbag which can be worn season after season. You know me, I love a good investment handbag!

Lastly, the handbag you have loved the most over the years has been the Mansur Gavriel bucket bag. This classic drawstring bucket bag is still going strong and is a fabulous investment bag at a reasonable price. Love that!
