Demoo Parkchoonmoo sent her spring/summer 2017 collection down the New York Fashion Week runway on September 9, 2016 at the Skylight Clarkson in New York.

This is one of my favorite shows every season. For Demoo Parkchoonmoo’s fall collections, she always has the most beautiful coats, and jackets, at fashion week. So I am always thrilled to have a chance to see her collection up close for spring or fall.

For spring 2017, Demoo Parkchoonmoo designed beautiful, flowing clothing. There were asymmetrical hemlines, cool layers, and edgy patchwork; both monochromatic and multi-tone. I love how she played with denim, and reinvented the basic black dress into something wearable yet far from basic. The black dress featured in the photo at the bottom of this article is to-die-for.

I was lucky enough to sit in the front row for Demoo Parkchoonmoo’s spring 2017 New York Fashion Week show. This allowed to get some great photographs to share with you! I included all my favorite looks from the runway in this post. I would love to get at least one of her patchwork spring outfits in my warm weather closet.

Denim is huge for spring 2017. It is being shown on everything you can imagine for spring 2017. Demoo Parkchoonmoo played with denim too, and set herself apart from other designers with her fresh silhouettes, and ingenious designs. This is how to wear in denim in spring 2017, there is no other way, only Demoo’s way. Take note.

Plaid and lace New York Fashion Week street style

Wearing: Chanel sunglasses / MAC lipstick in Fabby / Kendra Scott earrings / Rebecca Taylor dress / Chloe Faye handbag / Kendra Scott ring / Kendra Scott nail polish c/o / Donald J Pliner pewter booties / Sam Edelman black suede fringe booties

Day three of New York Fashion Week was the hottest, and most humid fashion week day I have ever experienced. Words cannot even describe the heat, and the icky humidity! Thankfully this dress was cool and breezy; perfect for a yucky humid day!

I started the day off in my suede booties, but the sky became a bit foreboding with the threat of thunder showers, so in order to save my suede booties, I switched to this pair of pewter leather booties which can sustain some rain. I heard it rained, but I must have been indoors when it did, because I never got caught in it! Whew!

Day three was really fun. I kicked off the day at Dan Liu, which was a romantic collection reminiscent of Paris in the 1960’s. I loved all the vintage inspired, feminine dresses. Next, I was off to Vicky Zhang which was filled with Mother-Daughter apparel. So cute! Then it was time for Rebecca Minkoff. You can read all about it in my blog post here.

After Rebecca Minkoff, it was time for Son Jung Wan’s disco inspired runway show. So much fun! The music was disco, and the people sitting behind me got out of their seats to dance to the music. It was amazing! Then I had a little break to eat some lunch, and edit a few photos before seeing A Detacher’s spring 2017 show, followed by Sally Skoufus’ fine jewelry presentation. It was a full day, and I loved everything I saw. So many great styles coming up for spring 2017!

By day three, the spring 2017 trends were starting to come into focus. There was more blush, denim, jumpers, green, pink, metallics, moto jackets, 1960s influence, 1990s influence, and decadent embellishments. Stay tuned! I will be recapping all the trends from the spring 2017 runways in a separate post. Spring 2017 is going to be fabulous!

Thanks for stopping by,

XOXO

Monique Lhuillier sent her spring/summer 2017 collection down the New York Fashion Week on September 12, 2016. The collection was ethereal, dreamy, and romantic. Ah! Monique Lhuillier is always perfection!

As one of my favorite shows to attend every season, I eagerly await Monique Lhuillier’s runway show. Her designs are unique, beautiful, flattering, and make dreams come true. The details on her clothing, combined with the extremely high quality materials, and construction, creates a collection like no other. No-one compares to Monique Lhuillier.

To make Monique Lhuillier’s show even more magical, Essie shared with me the secrets to achieving her runway nails right at home! Love that! The nail polish colors on Monique Lhuillier’s spring 2017 New York Fashion Week runway were romantic, dark, mysterious, and vampy. This has been a nail polish trend throughout the spring 2017 runways in New York. I love the unexpected, dark colors for a traditionally pastel season!

Without further adieu, here are the tips for recreating Monique Lhuillier’s spring 2017 runway nails at home:

Finger Nails:

Base Coat: first base base coat

Two coats of color: Wicked

Top coat: good to go top coat

Toe Nails:

Base coat: ridge filling base coat

Two coats of color: adore-a-ball

Top coat: good to go top coat

Voila! How simple is that? Easiest runway nails ever! I’m so excited to try these nail combos myself in order to achieve a spring 2017 look on my nails; even it is too cold outside to wear all the new spring trends!
