Christian Louboutin Loubichrome spring 2017 nail polish review

Christian Louboutin nail polish is hotter than hot; but oftentimes the price tag is bit off-putting. So for spring 2017, Christian Louboutin created a collection of mini’s, which are not that mini, and priced them at a competitive $30 a bottle. Love that!

This is a price point people expect to pay for luxury nail polish. Most premiere designers offer their nail colour at a price tag between $25-$35, so at $30 a bottle, Christian Louboutin has hit a price point home run.

For spring 2017, Christian Louboutin’s nail polish collection, Loubichrome, offers three bright nail polish hues. No beige or vamp for Louboutin this spring! The three colors are neon yellow, vivid fuchsia, some may call it neon violet, and a neon watermelon hue. These are not shy colors!

My favorite color of the Christian Louboutin Loubichrome collection is color number Iii, which is the neon fuchsia hue. This also happens to be the color selling out first from stores. If you want it, you can still find it in stock online here and online here.

I tested out Christian Louboutin Loubichrome Iii nail polish with one base coat, two coats of color, and no top coat. The polish lasted a full week! The week I wore it I took down my Christmas decorations, and my nail polish did not chip. Love that!

It seems as though the brush has been modified for spring 2017 as well. The brush in my Christian Louboutin Loubichrome mini was not as skinny as in other bottles I own of Christian Louboutin nail polish. It was still thin, but much easier to use. Love!

This is a great color alternative to spring 2017’s collection of grey’s, beige’s, pale pinks, and vampy colors. Sometimes you just need to brighten up the day! One of the Loubichrome nail polish colors will do just that!

The color I chose, Loubichrome Iii, is selling out quickly. If this is your favorite color from the collection, you can find it in stock online here and online here. Act quickly though, it is gone at most stores already! You can also find the remaining collection online here.

Which color from the Christian Louboutin Loubichrome spring 2017 nail polish collection is your favorite?

eShakti denim jumper

eshakti denim jumper review how to wear a denim jumper denim jumper for winter into spring how to style a denim jumper denim jumper trend for spring jumper trend

Wearing: Kendra Scott earrings / Chanel spring lipstick / Gap turtleneck / denim jumper c/o eShakti (sold out, visit eShakti.com for more options) / faux shearling jacket (on major sale!!) / JW Anderson handbag / Kendra Scott ring / Kendra Scott nail polish / Gucci spring slides

Jumpers were a huge trend on the runways of New York Fashion Week. In addition to being a hot runway trend, fashion insiders were already wearing the trend on the streets of New York Fashion Week in September. This my friends, is a trend you cannot ignore.

When eShakti approached me to test out one of their custom fit dresses, I jumped at the chance. They have this fabulous denim jumper as part of their dress collection; and it is ideal for transitioning from winter into spring. Not to mention, it is a denim jumper which combines two hot spring trends; denim and jumpers. Love that!

There is something about a jumper which reminds me of my childhood. I went to Catholic school for a few years and we had to wear jumpers. In addition to my school uniform, jumpers were a popular fashion trend in the 1980’s, and well into the early 1990’s when jumpers transformed from thick strapped dresses over blouses into spaghetti strapped dresses over tee shirts. But there is something more grown-up about the trend this time around.

This time, the jumper trend does not have rules. You can wear anything underneath any sized strappy dress and it is “street style” approved. I love this denim jumper by eShakti since it combines the denim trend, the jumper trend, and a custom fit which is fabulous for shorter gals like me.

When you order from eShakti, they ask you where you want the dress to hit you on your leg, how tall you are, and for any modifications. For this denim jumper, the length could be maxi, midi, or mini. I chose above the knee. They also ask how tall you are, so this helps ensure the hemline hits in the right place. Works like a charm!

I wasn’t thinking about what I planned to wear underneath this jumper when I ordered it. When worn over a turtleneck, as in this post, the dress is a bit snug. Worn alone, which I plan to do in warmer months, it fits perfectly. If you plan to layer a form fitting jumper, or any jumper for that matter, order one size up to leave room for what you plan to wear underneath.

This isn’t the first time I have ordered from eShakti. I have a fun pink skirt from them I ordered a few years ago. The quality is quite good for the pricing. The fabric holds up after being washed, and the stitching stays in place. I am pleased with how well their clothing is made.

My denim jumper is sold out, but there are plenty more jumpers, including denim jumpers, in stock from eShakti. For more customizable clothing options, visit eShakti.com.

Laura Mercier Stickgloss Rouge a Levres gloss review

laura mercier stickgloss a rouge black orchid review laura mercier gloss black orchid review

Pictured: Laura Mercier Stickgloss Rouge a Levres gloss in Black Orchid / ring / turtleneck / nail polish (first photo) / nail polish (second photo) / earrings

If you have been following along, you may already know I am a sucker for sheer lipsticks. I am not a huge fan of thick, cream lipsticks, or sticky lipglosses. When I noticed Laura Mercier Stickgloss Rouge a Levres, I was intrigued! The packaging labeled it as a “gloss,” yet it appeared to be a lipstick. Hmmmm. . . this looked like a fun investigation!

Since spring lipstick is either golden, beige, or vampy, I decided to try out Black Orchid in Laura Mercier’s Stickgloss Rouge a Levres. Why not go vampy when trying out a gloss? Black Orchid is vampy indeed! It is a dark purple color which is edgy yet seasonally appropriate. Love that!

I was not quite sure what to expect in a stickgloss. Would it be sticky like a lipgloss, or would it be smooth like a sheer lipstick? When I applied my new Laura Mercier Stickgloss Rouge a Levres in Black Orchid, I was pleasantly pleased! It applies just like a sheer lipstick. Three cheers for no stickiness! Whoo-hoo!

The composition of sheer lipstick is lightweight and natural; which is exactly what this lipstick feels like. There isn’t anything sticky, slimy, or annoying about it. Love that!

The part of Laura Mercier’s Stickgloss which is glossy, is how it looks. There is more color, or pigment, then with a sheer lipstick. In fact, the color also has some shine; which is what gives off that glossy effect. It really is perfection in a tube.

I love how Black Orchid looks. It gives off that perfectly on-trend, dark, vampy lipstick look without being too dark and costumy. After all, I am a Mother of three, I cannot walk around in stage makeup. Can you imagine? Yikes!

Laura Mercier’s Stickgloss Rouge a Levres is a new favorite of mine. I am looking forward to trying out new colors as the seasons progress. You can find it in many color choices online here.
