Chanel nail polish summer 2019 collection from top left: Chanel Radiant Verde nail polish (this one is my favorite!) / Chanel Radiant Blue nail polish ( also love this one!) / Chanel Radiant Red nail polish (cool twist on a classic cherry red) / Chanel Radiant Ballerina nail polish (perfect neutral) / Chanel Radiant Rouge Noir nail polish (twist on vamp) / Chanel Radiant Arancio nail polish (fun summer hue!)

I’m so excited about the Chanel nail polish summer 2019 nail polish collection! Normally Chanel releases anywhere from two to four colors for any given season, but for summer 2019, they are giving us six colors! It’s a nail polish buffet, and it is so hard to choose which one to wear! They are all fabulous hues!

The Chanel summer 2019 nail polish collection offers something for everyone. There are two oceanic hues to choose from; Radiant Verde, and Radiant Blue. They are both beautiful colors, and offer a little bit of metallic sparkle; which looks amazing in the sun! There is also a really pretty, neutral hue named Radiant Ballerina. This is a sweet golden blush which is a great daily hue. If you are more of a fire girl, Chanel is taking care of you this summer season! Radiant Red, Radiant Rouge Noir, and Radiant Arancio will keep your nails on fire all summer long. These are some fun colors!

All six of Chanel’s summer 2019 nail polish colors offer sparkle and a soft metallic finish. They all catch the sun and sparkle when you are outside. It will be fun this summer to wear a different color every few days to mix things up. So, without further ado, here are photos of what each color looks like on!

Chanel Radiant Verde nail polish summer 2019

This is my favorite color from the Chanel nail polish summer 2019 collection. Radiant Verde by Chanel is a sparkling, dark sea green which so pretty and fun for the summer months! It is an easy color to wear with this summer’s color palette, and it looks fabulous with beachwear, and poolside. I am pretty sure this will be the color I wear most often this summer season!

Chanel Radiant Blue nail polish summer 2019

How pretty is this blue! Apologies for the bad paint job, I polished my nails before dinner and I think I may have been rushing. It’s a little uneven. Hopefully you can still find this photo useful in determining the hue. It’s a dark blue which offers sparkle-I love sparkle! This is my second favorite color. I love blue, and this is a beautiful one! Chanel Radiant Blue nail polish will be perfect for the 4th of July, and many summer days when I want blue nails; and I tend to want blue nails often. If you are a blue fan too, this is the color for you!

Chanel Radiant Red nail polish summer 2019

Are you a classic, cherry red girl? Then Chanel Radiant Red nail polish for summer 2019 is for you! This is a flirty, sparkling cherry red polish which is fun to wear, and offers a little twist on classic cherry red nail polish. It’s a really pretty color!

Chanel Radiant Rouge Noir nail polish summer 2019

Chanel Radiant Rouge Noir nail polish is the new Vamp. If you flocked to the beauty counters in the 1990s, desperately seeking Vamp, and then felt energized when it re-emerged a couple of years ago, then this is your nail polish hue for summer 2019! Radiant Rouge Noir by Chanel is a fabulous, dark red nail polish which is vamp with a twist. The sparkles are the twist 😉 Love!

Chanel Radiant Ballerina nail polish summer 2019

If you are looking for the ideal neutral nail polish to carry you through the summer 2019 season, then this is it! Chanel Radiant Ballerina is a golden, sparkling blush nail polish hue which adds a little bit of edge to an otherwise sweet nail color. I love the little bit of golden sparkle within this polish. It is also a great color to wear while traveling this summer. If you plan to be away from home for more than six days, your nails will start to grow, or chip a little bit. This color won’t show one week growth, or small chips. It’s a great color to wear when you don’t have to time to re-paint! Love that!

Chanel Radiant Arancio nail polish summer 2019

chanel radiant arancio nail polish summer 2019 review

Chanel Radiant Arancio nail polish for summer 2019 is a fiery orange hue. If you like bold color, this is the nail polish for you! It’s a bright, sparkling orange hue which is sure to capture attention this summer season. I think this will be a fun color to wear on toes if you are little bit understated like I am. If you are bold, then put this on your fingernails and make the world see you! This is the attention grabbing hue of the season!

I tested all six Chanel summer 2019 nail polish colors with one base coat, and two coats of color. Like all Chanel polishes, they are chip resistant and go on evenly. None of these colors clump or streak; they all apply evenly. Love that!

Warby Parker prescription sunglasses review

So have you ever accidentally dropped your glasses, or sunglasses, and watched them break into pieces? Well, that happened to me! Last week, my only pair of prescription sunglasses slipped out of my hand while I was putting them inside my purse, after entering Safeway. My bag was at about my waist, so my sunglasses dropped from my waist, to the floor. I was mortified when I saw what happened. My beautiful Chanel sunglasses, my ONLY pair of sunglasses with my current prescription in them, was in pieces on the floor of the supermarket. Words can’t even. . .

I am one of those unlucky folks who has “must wear corrective lenses” written in bold, red letters all the way across her driver’s license. I don’t have a choice, I need to wear glasses while I drive. When it is sunny outside, I need to wear prescription sunglasses, or the sun will blind me. With my only pair of prescription sunglasses in pieces on the floor at Safeway, I was in quite a pickle!

Since I wear glasses, I keep my old pairs of glasses and sunglasses in the back of the glove box of my car. They are there for emergencies only. This fateful day, was an emergency. I was forced to pull out my old pair of prescription sunglasses, which were worn so much, they were stretched out. This old pair drove me crazy the second I placed them on my head to drive home. They immediately slipped down my nose, forcing me to adjust them constantly while driving home. Wearing too-big-sunglasses with an old prescription is not an ideal situation. I needed to replace my sunglasses stat!

As soon as I got home, I immediately called my eye doctor. I always buy my glasses through him since he gives me an additional 20% off the portion of the price that my insurance does not pay for. I end up getting Chanel glasses or Prada glasses, my two favorite eye-wear brands, at a great deal. When the nurse told me the fastest they could get a new pair of sunglasses to me was in two weeks, I knew I had to look elsewhere.

Warby Parker sunglasses review

I had heard about Warby Parker through the blogging world. It’s an online prescription eye-wear store which has expedited processing. In four days, for a $30 fee, I could have a new pair of sunglasses, with my current prescription, on my head. My too-big, old pair, could get pushed back to the back of my glove compartment in my car. Let’s do this!

It was really easy to find a pair of sunglasses on Warby Parker’s website which were to my liking. I’m all about huge sunglasses that hide all my wrinkles. When I spotted “Nancy,” I knew it was my new pair of sunglasses! The Nancy is available in two colors, Cognac Tortoise, and Rose Crystal. I chose the Cognac Tortoise, and began the check out process.

Warby Parker makes it really easy to select your prescription eye-wear. First, I chose a frame, then I chose the types of prescription lenses I wanted in my new glasses. Then, I uploaded a copy of my prescription, and lastly, I took a photo of myself through Warby Parker’s website to measure my face. Since I needed the sunglasses quickly, I chose expedited shipping for $30, instead of the free ground shipping option. Voila! Now, all I had to do was wait for my shades!

Expedited shipping takes about four business days. It appeared to take Warby Parker three business days to make my sunglasses, and then they overnighted them to me. When I slipped them on, they were perfect! I could see clearly, and they were very comfortable. Now that my sunglasses were in my hands, and they fit nicely, I would be able to submit my receipt to my insurance for a reimbursement. It’s super easy!

I am feeling a little bit addicted to Warby Parker, now that I have my first pair. I did see a few other pairs on their website that might need to end up in my closet.  After all, I need a better back-up pair! Wouldn’t you agree?

Warby Parker has both men’s and women’s glasses, and sunglasses. The styles range from classic, to on trend. There is definitely a style for every outfit, and taste. Which pair will I buy next? So many choices!!!

Also, I have to point out; I love brands that give back. Warby Parker believes that everyone has the right to see. For every pair of glasses purchased, a pair of glasses is distributed to someone in need. It’s their Buy a Pair, Give a Pair program, and it’s fabulous!

You can find Nancy online here. You can see all of the styles Warby Parker has to offer at WarbyParker.com.

Have you ever ordered prescription glasses online before? This was my first time, and I have to admit, I was a little nervous. I am so glad Warby Parker made it easy, and I ended up with a really cute pair of sunglasses.

Thanks for stopping by!

The return of the mini satchel

shore projects watch

They’re baaaa-aaack! Did you miss them? Or were you like me; a little bit relieved that bags got bigger so you could carry more stuff? Yeah, mini bags got old fast. So why in the world are they back? Perhaps they never actually went away. . .

While mini bags had their hey-day a few years back, many handbag fans could never jump on the trend. The mini bag requires a special kind of handbag connoisseur. One who only carries lipstick, a small set of keys, and a smaller smart phone. If you attempt to carry a wallet, sunglasses, or any other common purse essential in your handbag, the mini satchel would not allow it. It was quite unforgiving!

When bags crept up in size, taking us back to small and medium sizes, the mini satchel appeared to disappear into oblivion; until now. For some reason, there have always been hold-outs. Despite the size of handbags getting back to a more practical size, many handbag fans have stood their ground and continued to defy logic by carrying around teeny, tiny, little bags that often-times look like they would refuse a small set keys!

Designers and brands aren’t dumb, they can see a potential market. They figured out there were enough mini bag holdouts walking the streets to sustain a comeback. Boy, are they all making a comeback! Don’t get me wrong, I love a comeback story, but mini bags? Worse, mini-satchels? The structure of the satchel makes the bag harder to get into than a mini cross body bag with a nice zipper, or a mini hobo bag and the like. Satchels are often narrow at the top, right where your hand needs to reach for something. It’s a great way to chip nail polish, scratch your hand on a zipper, or become frustrated from the annoying mini opening of your mini bag. So much mini! Ugh!

Don’t get me wrong, mini bags have their place, perhaps even, the mini satchel. But, and this is a big but, there isn’t anything practical about a mini satchel. They seem ornamental to me. The only time I find a mini satchel practical is if I am dressed up for a special occasion and don’t need to carry sunglasses, car keys, or a wallet. When that is the case, the mini satchel needs to be dressy, if not formal. For those types of occasions, I tend to reach for a formal bag. Is it just me? Am I the only one who feels like one’s hand should fit inside one’s bag? Am I the only one that wants to fit my wallet in my purse?

It should be interesting to see if the mini satchel makes as big of a comeback on the streets, as it has on store shelves at this very moment.

What are your thoughts on the mini satchel trend? Is this a trend you enjoy wearing? Or are you like me, and you demand a bit more space inside your bags?

Thanks for stopping by!
