The fall season is here, and since my daughter is a junior in high school, we are starting to look at colleges. I cannot believe we are already looking at colleges! Of course, we are starting hyper-local. So far, we took her to look at Stanford and UCSC. When I realized she was looking at local schools, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to show her my Alma Mater-USF!

Over the weekend we started our adventure at the A.L.C pop-up shop at 2011 Fillmore in San Francisco, then we ate lunch and headed over to USF so I could give my daughter the full tour; as full a tour as possible during a pandemic, when schools are virtual for the semester.

We parked right in front of campus (um-when does that happen?!), and then I brought my family down to the baseball field, and took them throughout the campus. There was a lot of new construction on campus, which was fun for me to see since those buildings and add-ons weren’t there when I was a student. It was really fun to give my family a tour, talk about the buildings, and student life at USF. I used to give college tours to prospective families when I was a student, so I felt like a collegiate again, which was fun!

My daughter enjoyed the tour, and really liked the campus. I am not sure if the major she wants is available at USF, but at least she liked the campus! If she doesn’t choose to apply there, maybe one of my other kids will want to be a Don, just like their mother!

I have to give a shout-out to these boots. I just bought these square toe booties for the fall season, and decided to wear them for the first time in the city. We did a ton of walking, and these boots were so comfortable! I love the roomy square toe, and good foot support. I am looking forward to wearing these boots often this season since they are not only on trend, but great for walking!

I hope you are getting chances to rock your new fall looks!

Thanks for stopping by!

A.L.C. Pop-Up shop in San Francisco

ALC pop-up shop sample sale

A.L.C. has a pop-up shop in San Francisco! This happens to be one of my favorite brands when shopping for fashion week outfits. So, when I found out there was a pop-up shop in the city, I had to go!

A.L.C. always has fashionable clothing which reflect current trends in an understated way. Thier clothing is high quality, and fits really well. I can pull my size off the rack and know it will fit every time. I have never needed alterations, A.L.C. just fits!

The pop-up shop in San Francisco is really exciting because they are offering pieces from recent collections in 2018 and 2019 at 75% off retail prices. Wh-aaaaaat??? Yes, you read that correctly. This means the floral silk blouse I picked up, which retails at $345, was $86.25 at the pop-up shop. I also snapped up an on-trend stripe dress with fabulous puff sleeves which normally retails at $195 and is $48.75 at the pop-up shop. Those are amazing deals!

This is the beautiful silk floral blouse I picked up at the A.L.C pop-up shop in San Francisco. It looks great with jeans, or for a dressier look, a black skirt or black pants.

This is the stripe dress I picked up at the pop-up shop. It’s a fabulous summer dress which can still be worn in the fall season. It will look cute in the spring/summer with sandals or espadrilles; while in the fall, I like how it looks with loafer slides.

Although the collections for sale are from 2018 and 2019, they are still reflecting current trends for 2020 and into next year. A.L.C. creates fashionable clothing with longevity, so you don’t have to worry about investing in a piece which reflects a fleeting trend, the clothing is fashion-forward; meaning it will last for several years.

Shopping at the A.L.C. pop-up shop in San Francisco is safe and easy. It feels really luxurious when you’re inside since they limit the number of customers shopping at a time. This means you have the store almost to yourself! It’s like a private shopping experience. They also require masks and offer hand sanitizer to keep us all safe. Love it!

You can visit the A.L.C. pop-up shop in San Francisco at 2011 Fillmore Street. For more information, please see details online here.

Fall 2020 IT bags under $1000 from top left: black baguette / pastel blue camera bag / pouch clutch / two tone tote  / classic bucket bag / BAO tote bag / round shoulder bag /

The fall season is here, and there are so many IT bags to covet this season! Thankfully, you don’t have to break the bank to snag a fabulous bag for the cool weather season. There are plenty of hotter than hot handbags for fall priced well under $1000. Love that!

The baguette is still a hot, emerging handbag silhouette; and no bag under $1000 is better than the Coach baguette. My favorite style is this beautiful black version; oh, and this one is actually under $500. Love that even more!

Camera bags, and anything Gucci, have an IT factor to them; so it comes as no surprise this camera bag by Gucci is a hot IT bag. Love that it is priced under $1000! Plus, pastels are an emerging color trend from Milan, so this bag is ahead of the fashion curve. The only problem it, which color to choose?

Mansur Gavriel can do no wrong. Pretty much all of their bags are IT bags. This pouch clutch is so hot right now, it might burn you if you touch it! Ha! Of course, their classic bucket bag is a must-have. This two-tone tote bag is the newest bag from Mansus Gavriel’s line-up, and it’s going to be a hit. You might want to grab yours before the wait-list begins.

Here in Silicon Valley, Issey Miyake is a cult favorite. The BAO collection is on the arm of every fashionable women coming out of a home priced well over $5 mil. You can spot them also on the arms of ladies emerging from their Tesla’s. This is the current IT bag in the San Francisco Bay Area right now! This fall blue is my favorite hue. Which color do you choose?

Lastly, geometric bags are hot for fall, and this bag by Staud is the best way to rock the trend this fall season. Love that it’s priced well under $500! I can’t decide which color I like best. Which one do you prefer?
