The BAF Weekly IT List is here! This week we learned the color of 2021 is not one, but two colors! “Illuminating” and Ultimate Gray” are the colors of 2021; so of course they had to make the IT list! To read all about it, check out my post.
This week we are still loving holiday nail polish colors such as gold and deep red. We are also loving these sparkling earrings, classic loafers, and classic bucket bag. There are a few select colors of the bag on sale; this bag never goes on sale, so this is a great opportunity to snap one up if you have been on the fence due to price.
Of course we all love food! If you haven’t checked out my yummy gift guide yet, what are you waiting for? These cute little gingerbread men are perfect to give, and to give to ourselves!
I hope you love this week’s IT list! Have a Happy Holiday season!
The color of 2021 is here! Pantone has announced that it is, once again, a double color year. Last time we saw two colors as the color of the year was in 2016. So move over Classic Blue! There is a new color, um-shall we say colors, in town!
Pantone feels that yellow and grey, otherwise known as “Illuminating” and “Ultimate Gray,” are colors which evoke a feeling of happiness, fortitude, and hope. Personally, I feel that with yellow, but the grey is throwing me.
In my mind, grey is dull and sad. While I love it as an alternative to black in fashion and interior design, I don’t look to the color grey for inspiration or feelings; to me it is too sad a color. On the other hand, yellow is well-known to evoke happiness and positive energy. I always love yellow as a ray of sunshine and hope; but grey confuses me!
I am looking forward to enjoying yellow in the new year, but grey will be an accent color for me; not one which evokes any uplifting feelings. What are your thoughts on the color of the year 2021?
OK, you might be wondering why I am talking about blond hair care when I am brunette, I have a good reason! My daughter is blond! She is at an age where she cares deeply about hair care, and really wants products which will keep her blond hair vibrant and healthy. In addition to being blond, she has fine hair which is also very curly, so finding the right products to keep her hair in tip-top shape is always a challenge.
I was thrilled when Kerastase reached out to send me a few products to try out. My daughter had been looking for new hair care products, and the Kerastase Blond Absolu line sounded exactly like what she needed. I decided to have her try the products out, and if she loved them, I would share them with you. Guess what, she loved them!!
She has naturally blond hair, but a little over a year ago she dyed her tips blue. The blue didn’t stay blue, it turned aqua and then a funny green color. So, in order to restore her natural blond hue, we had the blue dye removed, and highlights added to the bottom half of her hair where the color had been. The top of her head is natural, and the bottom half matches her natural color perfectly. This means her hair care needs to work on natural blond hair as well as processed. Thankfully Kerastase Blond Abolu worked it’s magic!
She loves the shampoo which keep her hair hydrated and vibrant. She also uses the mask occasionally and she says it purifies her hair. If her hair seems dry from swimming or being at the beach, she uses the serum overnight to restore moisture an vibrancy. The cicaplasme is great to protect her hair when she blow dries it. All in all, she is in love with this line and wants to use it for the long haul. We will be buying a new bottle of the shampoo shortly!
I too love Kerastase products, so in the shopping widget below I have linked to the Blond Absolu products my daughter loves as well as the products I love to use too on my brown, and slightly dry, hair. I hope you love this line too!
Thanks for stopping by!
XOXO
Cathy
