Welcome to the BAF Weekly IT List! Or should I say, the weekly handbag IT list? It seems as if this has been the week of the handbag. All of the best IT bags of 2021 had a moment this week.

There was a popular IT bag for any activity this week as you all loved retro ’90’s style bags, pouches, practical satchels, and beach-ready straw totes. If you didn’t already stock your handbag wardrobe, what are you waiting for? Now is the time! Especially since this cute little straw tote is selling fast, and out of stock at several retailers. Do you love this breezy eyelet skirt for summer? I do too. It’s my go-to summer skirt, and perfect for warm days. Love that it’s under $100 too. It looks fabulous with all of these IT bags!

Summer beach bags 2021

Beach season is here! I love a fabulous straw beach tote this season since straw totes are hotter than hot; plus, when they get sand inside, they are easier to clean than a canvas tote. Love that!

Summer beach bags come in various sizes depending on what you need it for at the beach. A smaller tote can handle items such as a book, sunscreen, and baseball cap. Whereas a larger tote can fit a towel, lightweight sweatshirt for when the fog rolls in, a book, sunscreen, and snacks. The size you get depends on what you like to bring with you to the beach. I also like to look at my beach tote as something which can work at the pool too. So that is something to keep in mind if you are looking at the beach bag to work at the pool too.

I tend to carry two beach bags because I have kids who like to bring extra items to the beach. I normally will have one large beach bag filled with multiple towels and sweatshirts, and also a smaller beach tote with a book, snacks, and sunscreen. Yes, I am one of those bag ladies at the beach. haha

Sunglasses and lunch

I wore these sunglasses out to lunch with my friend Dawn from Fashion Should be Fun. It was a mild day, with a little bit of fog on the bay. We enjoyed walking around Santana Row, and eating lunch at EMC Seafood & Raw Bar. Dawn snapped all these photos for me with the exception of the bottom right picture. My husband snapped that one later in the week when we went to dinner at King’s Seafood. Yes, I wore this top twice. You know you’ve done it! But I digress. . .

Can we take a minute to chat about these jeans? They are supposed to be wide leg, and they look baggier than they are. That is because I lost weight! Yay! My doctor wants me to get my BMI down to a healthy level, so I have been on a mission to lose twenty pounds. At the time these photos were taken, I was down ten pounds. As I write this post, I am down twelve pounds! So, needless to say, all of my clothing is getting very baggy right now! I want to finish my weight lose before investing in clothing, so you may see a few more baggy posts before my clothing fits properly again.

Normally I am huge advocate for wearing the correct size. I am a firm believer in not walking around in tight clothing or overly large clothing. That being said, I always understand losing weight, and not wanting to spend money on sizes that might be temporary. Ten pounds can be a whole number size, so if you are like me, and trying to lose more than ten pounds, we are in this baggy clothing thing together! We can just make it fabulous!
