Spring is here, and my spring 2022 shoe capsule wardrobe is complete. This season loafers, slides, slingbacks and sneakers are hot, so I made sure to include these street style trends in my shoe capsule wardrobe for spring 2022.

These black slides have been in my wardrobe for several years. They are broken in, and I occasionally polish them to keep them looking good. While the inside might be a little worn, they are still supportive and comfortable for the spring season. I love an investment shoe!

Street sneakers are still hot for casual looks, so these platform sneakers are still on heavy rotation. I wear them multiples times per week, all year long. They are my go-to shoe and will serve me well in the spring season. If you don’t have a fabulous pair of street sneakers, yet, what are you waiting for? Snap up a pair now!

Flats are perfect for spring since they play well with trousers, power suits, and jeans. I love this fun little yellow pair and my tan pair from last year is still serving me well. I love the chic yet comfy vibe that comes from loafer flats.

Slingbacks are the hottest thing in pumps since, well, pumps! Of course, slingbacks are a classic style in high heels, but for spring 2022 they are little more popular than their classic counterpart with closed heels. If you don’t have a pair of slingbacks, be sure to add one to your closet this season. They’ll take you through spring, summer, and fall. Love that!

Handbag capsule wardrobe spring 2022

As you know, spring 2022 is all about smaller handbags, and lots of colors! In addition to small and colorful, we are looking at handbag styles for spring 2022 which can be found in many of our closets. The hottest handbag trends for spring 2022 include the bucket, the small tote, top handle bags, the continuation of the pouch and the hobo handbag.

Since I was a huge bucket bag fan seven to eight years ago when the Mansur Gavriel bucket bag reached its insane IT bag status, I knew I had this trend in my closet to shop. While spring 2022 is bringing us new versions of the bucket bag, I prefer to stick with the classic that I already own. I decided for spring 2022, I would pull my pink bucket bag out of the back of my closet. I have found myself reaching for it often already! It’s so easy to wear and has fabulous interior capacity. Plus, the light pink hue freshens up a foggy day and adds a touch of spring to my overall look; even in my workout cloths. haha Mansur Gavriel has a lot of really pretty colors in stock for spring, just in case you didn’t invest in one the first time around. The small tote bag is a great returning trend too. I had this blue tote bag in the back of my closet, and it’s still in stores! I love how small tote bags give the illusion of being a small handbag but are actually quite roomy inside. The cross body strap on most small totes comes in handy too. Love that!

This fabulous yellow tote was from Coach’s spring 2022 runway. They released a small batch right during New York Fashion Week, but plan to release more very soon. I will keep you updated for their in-stock return! In the meantime, they do have larger versions of this classic tote online. I love the neutral hues and the green.

The hobo bag and the pouch are continuing to be hot in 2022. So, if you already invested in these two styles, keep wearing them! If you don’t have a hobo yet, you can still invest in one, they will stick around awhile. Love!

Power suit spring 2022

The power suit is back, and it’s the most versatile set you can own. A classic blazer and a classic pair of trousers can turn into multiple outfits and take you through an entire week in the office, or an entire week of lunch, dinner, shopping excursions, the theater, and more! This is the best trend to reemerge from the last century, and I am here for it!

Of course, the power suit can be worn alone and evokes a sense of self-confidence, chic-ness, and power. In addition, the blazer and trousers and can easily be paired with other items in your closet, making multiple outfits for the season. If you can only buy two items for spring, buy a power suit!

Let’s start with the blazer. It can be worn with jeans, a denim skirt, shorts (huge trend for summer-more on that later), and a prairie skirt for a structured vs. unstructured look, which will also be hot later this year. The blazer can also be worn over a dress. It’s a great way to instantly update an entire closet. Bright colors are on trend for spring 2022, but if a bright suit isn’t your thing, look for classic black; you can never go wrong with black.

The trousers are so amazing! You can dress down trousers with a top and street sneakers, or pair them with heels and satin top for a night on the town. Looking for a daytime look? Try a blouse, puff sleeve tee, or satin top with trousers and flats, you will look chic and sophisticated. Love that!

Do you work in a conservative office environment? You may already own a classic black suit, why not add one fun and colorful suit for the year?! Bright blue, orange, yellow, and green are the hottest hues in suiting this spring 2022 season. Orange is actually the trendiest color if you want to be cutting edge. I chose blue because, well, I love blue!

Casual Friday outfits can benefit from your power suit too! I am not a fan of jeans on casual Friday, I think they are too casual. A pair of trousers with a nice blouse, slim sweater, or top is an ideal casual Friday look. If it’s chilly, you can add a tweed blazer or tweed jacket to finish off the look.

Simple necklines are hot for spring 2022. When accessorizing your power suit for spring 2022, keep your neckline simple. I have a hard time with that, so I like to add a vintage scarf or a necklace with a pendant. It’s still simple but adds a little somethin’ somethin’.
