Handbag Spotlight: The Row Margaux

Handbag Spotlight: The Row Margaux /

If you are on social media, I am sure you have already spotted this beautiful, slouchy tote bag by The Row. The Margaux is a double handle tote, or satchel, which is made from the finest, slouchy leather and offers a soft, high-quality vibe. Love!

The Row Margaux is available in various sizes indicated by a number after the handbag name. 10 being the smallest, 15 is medium, and 17 is a large, travel tote size.

As much as I adore this beautiful investment bag, I cannot personally justify the price. If you can swing the price, invest in this bag! The Row Margaux is a fabulous investment purchase which will last a lifetime. The classic, double handle tote design combined with slouchy leather offers a timeless vibe and craftsmanship which will last through your retirement.

This handbag can be used as a work tote, a travel tote, or a tote for carrying a ton of stuff. haha If you have a lifestyle which requires the use of a spacious bag, this is the bag.

In addition to being a fabulous, timeless handbag, it is currently trending as the hottest IT bag of the moment. But, like the Givenchy Antigona, we hope to see The Row Margaux become a classic long after the hype fizzles out. While these transitions from IT status to timeless status are never for sure, there is a good chance The Row Margaux will make a smooth transition into the forever bag category.

What do you think of The Row Margaux? Is this beautiful handbag on your wish list? It is currently on my dream list. haha

Wandering around Sonoma

wearing: sweater / statement earrings / black handbag / nail polish / straight leg jeans (old, also love this pair) / black belt /rose and white sneakers /

If you are heading up to wine country and are looking for a beautiful place to grab coffee and learn a little bit about California history, then Downtown Sonoma is the place to go!

There is a fabulous cafe where you can grab coffee and a small breakfast when you first arrive. Basque Boulangerie Cafe has delicious coffee and an overall good vibe. We enjoyed grabbing to-go coffee’s and wandering around downtown.

Sonoma has a mission built in 1823 which you can visit; but double check hours if you would like to go inside.

In addition to a mission, Sonoma State Park includes the Sonoma Barracks, Blue Wing Inn, La Casa Grande, and Toscano Hotel. These sites can be seen downtown, very close to each other by the square. This is the site where California declared its independence from Mexico and captured General Vallejo.

After soaking in California history, I highly recommend indulging in local chocolate! The Chocolate Cow offers locally made chocolate which is to-die-for! I enjoyed a S’Mores, and it was amazing!!

Of course, after eating chocolate you will want to burn it off! haha. You can take a nice walk over to the Hacienda of General Vallejo; one building on site is pictured below. There you will find hiking trails and a serene location to spend some time, or your day. If you aren’t up for walking, there is a parking lot.

We didn’t end up eating lunch downtown, but there are several places to eat; hopefully next time I can find a place and recommend it to you! In the meantime, eat chocolate. haha

Chanel Ultra le Teint compact foundation powder review

chanel ultra le teint chanel foundation powder review

pictured: Chanel Ultra le Teint compact foundation powder /

I found a new foundation powder! When I do my makeup, I am very simple. I don’t like liquid foundation and I like to keep things as streamlined as possible. My routine consists of blush, foundation powder, eyeliner, and eye shadow if I am getting dressed up for something. Sometimes I will wear lipstick, but it is usually sheer and never cream. I prefer wearing chapstick on a daily basis.

Recently it came to my attention that the foundation powder I had been using had an ingredient in it that I didn’t want to put on my skin. So, I did some research and found Chanel had a foundation powder made from clean ingredients. Love that!

This was an easy transition since I am already a huge Chanel makeup fan. My blush is Chanel and most of my nail polish is Chanel; but you may already know that. haha

I have been using Chanel’s Ultra Le Teint foundation powder for one month now, and so far I love it. Although there is a pad which you can dampen and make the powder thick, I prefer keeping it dry and light by using a brush. It goes on evenly and provides the right amount of coverage I need for my skin. Love that!

Makeup I currently love from Chanel:

So, if you are looking for a fabulous foundation powder to either layer over liquid foundation or wear alone, like me, then give Chanel Ultra le Teint a try! I love it!
