Easy won ton soup recipe

Winter is the perfect season for soup; actually, the entire year is perfect for soup, but winter is especially perfect! haha

One of my favorite soup’s to order is won ton soup, so I decided to try and make it at home. Since I don’t know how to make won ton’s, I bought them and made an easy soup my family loved and has requested I make again and again. Love!

So, if you love soup, and want an easy won ton soup recipe, here you go!

What you need:

  • 5 cans of chicken broth (or broth of your choice)
  • six carrots
  • green onions
  • Can of baby corn
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 packages of won tons. I found pork and shrimp won ton’s in my local Safeway freezer section. Your local market should have frozen won ton’s you can use.
  • Feel free to add additional vegetables you enjoy.

Use a large pot. I used the pot I normally use to cook pasta.

  1. Add broth and olive oil to pot, turn on burner to medium to heat broth.
  2. Cut carrots and add to broth, let them boil for about five minutes before the next step.
  3. Cut onions and add to broth along with the baby corn and mushrooms.
  4. Let the vegetables simmer on a low boil for about fifteen minutes. Test a carrot to see if it’s halfway soft. Once your carrots are halfway soft, add the won ton’s to the pot.
  5. Cook for another ten minutes and test a won ton to make sure it’s nice and hot.
  6. Once the won ton’s are hot, you’re done! This recipe makes roughly six bowls of won ton soup

That’s it! The whole process takes roughly 30 minutes. So, it is an easy and quick soup to make for dinner.

I hope you enjoy this quick and easy won ton soup recipe!
