Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue eau de toilette is a fresh and crisp fragrance perfect for transitioning from summer into fall. As we leave summer behind and move into the autumn months, the weather is still warm; sometimes reaching 90 degrees. Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue is perfect for warm weather and offers a reminiscent vibe of the summer vacation we left behind.

Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana combines fragrance notes of citron, lemon, bluebell, Granny Smith apple, jasmine, rose, bamboo, cedar wood, amber and musk. This combination of crisp summer top and heart notes combined with warm, autumn base notes creates the perfect fragrance experience throughout the day. While the sun rises and heats up the day, Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana cycles through the citrus top notes and fruity-floral middle fragrance notes. At the end of the day when the fog rolls in from the ocean, the warm woody base warms up the evening. Love that!

Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue eau de toilette received five out of five stars from Bay Area Fashionista!

Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana can be found in three sizes, .84oz, 1.6oz and 3.3oz. The line is priced from $48-$89 and can be found online here.

Emerson by Jackie Fraser-Swan spring/summer 2014. I was sitting in the last row for Emerson’s collection, so unfortunately my photos are not the best quality. What I tried to capture in these photos were the amazing prints and florals on the Emerson runway. I loved the floral prints. The florals were sophisticated and grown up; these were not your daughter’s flower prints! Emerson also showed black and white stripes on the runway; signaling a continuation of this trend as we move into 2014.

The entire collection was beautiful and romantic. I love the soft yet vivid colors in the collection as well as the mix of prints. There was also quite a bit of sheer detailing on the pieces; another trend we are seeing emerge from New York for spring 2014. Love!

I am in love with the purple and white floral dress shown in the blurry photo above. Again, my apologies for the poor quality. This was definitely my favorite look on the Emerson spring/summer 2014 runway at New York Fashion Week.

I included the press video from Emerson’s spring/summer 2014 runway show at New York Fashion Week below. What is your favorite look from the runway?

A simple New York Fashion Week look

New York Fashion Week takes a lot of energy. The first show usually starts at 9am with the last show beginning at 9pm. When I am on the go, I prefer to keep my look simple and fuss-free. This clean look felt perfect on September 7, 2013. The pieces were soft and comfortable.

I loved how Twisted Silver’s new “Grace” necklace brought out the colors in the skirt and made the otherwise simple outfit look finished. The new “Grace” necklace is timeless and offers layers of brass and copper which are  statement-making. Love it! The necklace is priced at $60 and can be found online atTwisted-Silver.com. Of course the high heels did not stay on all day. I brought a pair of flats which I slipped on after lunch. Fashion week can be hard on your feet! What are your favorite shoes for days when you need to walk or stand a lot?
