Winter 2014 fashion trends: light navy

fall 2013 light navy by bayareafashionista on Polyvore

Light navy blue was spotted on the runways for fall/winter 2013/2014 in Paris, Milan, London and New York. This vivid and classic version of navy blue stood out among shades of neutral, burgundy, red and black which dominated the runways.

Designers showed light navy blue on everything including handbags, apparel and shoes. The color was shown tonal as well as paired with other neutrals and autumn hues. Light navy blue looks amazing with black since it has more of a blue tone than dark navy blue which can sometimes be mistaken for black. Light navy blue also looks amazing with winter and holiday color trends which includes reds and pastels.

Light navy blue is a classic hue which is easy for any hair-color or skin tone to wear. This is definitely a great color to invest in for the fall 2013 and winter 2014 seasons. Since light navy blue is normally shown in the spring season, purchasing handbags, shoes or lightweight clothing during the fall/winter 2013/2014 season will prove a worthy investment when the spring 2014 season rolls around. You will already own light navy blue! Love that!

I found a few fabulous light navy pieces around the web and assembled them into the shopping widget below. Hope you love them! Happy shopping, and stay fabulous 😉

iFABBO held their first social media conference in San Francisco on October 12, 2013. This amazing conference featured panelists who discussed the business of blogging which included monetization, social media strategies and the future of blogging. The conference also introduced beauty and fashion brands to local bloggers. We had the opportunity to check out beauty products and apparel in person while speaking with brand representatives who could answer our questions and offer product samples for review.

Of course the day was not just about business! It was amazing to meet other local beauty and fashion bloggers as well as reconnect with bloggers whom I have met in the past both in-person and online. I loved making new friends while learning more about the business and future of blogging!

If you have a beauty, style or fashion blog and you are not part of iFABBO, please check them out! iFABBO is a fabulous organization which can help you navigate the ever-changing blogosphere. To learn more please visit ifabbo.com.
