Mongol sent their fall/winter 2015/2016 collection down the New York Fashion Week runway on Friday, February 13, 2015 at The Theater in Lincoln Center. The energetic show started off with an amazing live performance, which was a segway into an equally energetic runway show.

The fall 2015 collection from Mongol featured vivid autumn hues, cut-outs, texture, and a playful vibe. I loved the mix of purple and berry hues! To view the runway show, please visit the video below courtesy of IMG Fashion.

Sleeveless jackets and vests for spring 2015

The sleeveless jacket has been a growing trend over the past few seasons. In the fall and winter seasons, capes and sleeveless jackets were a huge hit on the street. As temperatures start to rise, and we move into spring, the trend has evolved into sleeveless jackets and vests.

The sleeves jacket and vest trend is a great way to elevate an otherwise ordinary office look, or casual ensemble, into a modern, of-the-moment, masterpiece! A sleeveless jacket or vest can top off a pair of jeans paired with a blouse, or tee-shirt; giving the look instant polish. This trend can also take an old pair of black, office appropriate trousers paired with a blouse or shirt, to a whole new level. It is the ideal alternative to a blazer when temperatures rise. Love that!

There are many different styles of sleeveless jackets and vests on the market this spring 2015 season. The “IT” styles this season include; long and boxy, long and fitted with a belt, denim jacket vests, leather biker vests, and military jacket styles without sleeves. With all of these options, there is something for every lifestyle!

I found a few fabulous sleeveless jackets and vests around the web and assembled them into the shopping widget below. I hope you love them! I have my eye on the two featured at the top of this post. #WishList

A couple of weeks ago I visited the new JCrew Factory store at Westgate Shopping Center in San Jose. It is a large store filled with so many cute outfits for both men and women. I felt like a kid in a candy store shopping there! I ended up leaving with the outfit above; and I also purchased a sweater and tee-shirt for the spring season. I fell in love with so many things!

I love the shirt in these photos. It’s boxy silhouette gives a modern touch to this pleated, a-line, knee-length skirt. It also looks amazing with classic black trousers, jeans, and denim shorts. With a simpler pair of sunglasses, this JCrew Factory top will look amazing with a statement necklace in gold or silver. Love this one by Kendra Scott; currently on my wish list. Love that!

The skirt I found at JCrew Factory is ideal for dressing up, as in the photos above, or dressing down. In addition to the top I am wearing in these photos, this skirt looks carefree and casual with a denim top and medium brown sandals. In the warm summer months, I can see wearing this skirt with a eyelet white blouse for a warm weather, resort look; paired with silver flat sandals! I love all the possibilities!

If you are local to the San Francisco Bay Area, be sure to stop in at Westgate and check out the new JCrew Factory store. There are also plenty of fabulous restaurants to grab a meal at while shopping. My kids love eating at Sushi Boat; I also love Smashburger. Veggie Grill is opening soon too!

If you are not local, please check out JcrewFactory.com for spring!
